Mission: To ensure that all children, regardless of their background, graduate from high school prepared for, and with access to, college or career training. (continued on schedule o)to make that happen, we: 1) educate and empower parents, teachers, and community members to demand excellent schools; 2) advocate for effective local, state and national education policies and investments; 3) ensure that policies and funding we advocate for reach classrooms and help students.

Programs: Stand louisiana staff worked in baton rouge and new orleans to empower parents to serve as education advocates who demand a high-quality education for all children including access to early childhood education, reading proficiency by the end of third grade, additional funding opportunities that make a direct impact in classrooms, and high quality school options for parents and students. They also support educators in increasing access to high quality curriculum and resources.

stand washington staff worked in tacoma and the greater seattle area to empower parents to serve as education advocates who demand a high-quality education for all children including increased opportunities for career and technical training, access to ell resources, access to early childhood education opportunities, high quality school options for parents and students, and additional funding opportunities that make a direct impact on classrooms.

stand indiana staff worked in indianapolis to empower parents to serve as education advocates who demand a high-quality education for all children including high quality school options for parents and students, additional funding opportunities that make a direct impact on classrooms, educators' access to career opportunities and resources, and access to career and technical training.

stand for children leadership center operated programs in 8 additional states arizona, colorado, illinois, massachusetts, oklahoma, oregon, tennessee, and texas and provdes program services through the national office.
