I bought these for power outages and use K1 kerosene. I tested them and they work fine and they are solid for the price. I bought 4 for a power outage and hopefully they will sit in the garage and never be used. I got caught last winter with a three day power outage and it was miserable. I am now preparing with a kerosene heater, food supplies and water.

I bought 5 of these to decorate for a party. They seem to be great quality and look awesome. Can't speak to their functionality but for decor items these are a great buy. We're going to repurpose them for Christmas decorating in a couple of months can't wait! We did have some trouble getting some of the stickers off, as some have said, but it wasn't a big deal. Just get some Goo-Gone and you're good to go!

Although this is bye no means a OG Dietz Original, this a excellent lantern for the money. It's very lightweight. Glass is very thin. I suspect it will leak from the bottom in future it's just stamped thin guage sheet metal. However for the money you can't go wrong. Great addition to my collection

Check yours as soon as you get it. Fill it half way and put on paper towels and let it sit for awhile. Bought 3 and two of them leaked on bottom seam!

The lantern leaked from three different places. The fuel stripped and stained the finish of my deck. Be careful....this could also be a fire hazard. Definitely not to be used indoors

The box arrived with at least a large handful of maggots (fly larvae) all through it. I have never been so grossed out in my life. There is simply no excuse for something this awful.

I purchased two of these lanterns, and on leaks and the other does not. Be wise and buy a Dietz or a Fuerhand, you will be much safer and have a better quality product.

Very quaint little lamp, but much more suited for outdoor use. Something about the way it burns males it smell more than a normal kero lamp, but it's a perfect fall decoration. Overall very pleased.

Decoration grade at best, but they are wrapped in a difficult to remove sticker, so unless you soak them in hot water or use goof-off, they really don't even look that nice as a decoration. Wonder why they left the sticker off in the photos?? Will be retuning them. Don't have time to sit and pick at their marketing sticker for hours

Received this lantern. It was bent up and the top and wick assembly's would not attach properly. It leaked the lamp oil as well. Not a good buy if you intend to actually use it for light.
