I filled and lit them. They don't smoke, bought for when the power goes out, convenient and look good sitting around till you do need them.

These are cheaper light but work very well. I did not expect them to perform good as they did. Easy on fuel. I got 3 and when power was out let them burn all night they use very little fuel. And are hard to blow out

I own 3 of these exact lanterns and a coupe of other models by the same company. None of my lanterns have leaked and all of them get used. They are a bit of a pain to fill but I have a funnel I got just for this purpose. I ma very careful not to overfill them and they all work very well. If you try to burn citronella oil in them they will soot up very badly, very quickly.

I like this lantern for the price and you can't beat it. Good first lantern for camping and other things when you need a soft yellow light outside. The only down side is that it feels a little flimsy but it definitely serves the purpose in the short term. I don't think you will pass this down to your kids though . The upside is that my wife loved the way it looked as a home accent so it actually has two purposes. It's simple and works like it is supposed too but I can't speak to how long that will be the case.

used this on our 3 day camping trip, it stayed fueled with kerosene oil for all 3 nights, although we had to clean the glass from sut in between uses, it was still a great product. clean up wasn't hard at all.

Read the reviews prior to purchase and decided it would make nice decor. My husband converted it into a battery operated lamp for camping. It turned out great!

The lantern comes in a case of four. They were extremely discounted. They seem lightly made and the weight makes it feel like they are plastic but the stickers say All metal. Upon inspection they are. One of the four leaks through a seam at the bottom of the fuel tank. Since I filled all four and found it later I have the other three in quantize. I don't think I can return just one out of the case so I'll eat that one.It's been two weeks now and the second lantern has begun to leak. At a 50 failure rate don't waste your money.

LOVE THEM!!!We use torch fuel with Citronella in these to light our deck AND repel those pesky insects. With the wick properly trimmed and adjusted, the fuel burns clean without the black smoke and the black 'fallout' that Tiki Torches produce. These make more light and use less fuel as well!Just be careful to avoid overfilling the tank. It will leak fuel around where the air tubes attach to the fuel tank if overfilled.

This version is super light weight, and mine don't leak. However, the fuel tank is rusty.I fill the water into the tank to check leaking, the water turn rust color right away.
