These are light and a bit flimsy, but do their job. My memory of these being high quality comes from using the solid brass one from my railroad days. But, you sure can't beat the price when these go on sale.

Had a backyard birthday party. These lanterns not only provided a great decoration but they were good for lighting as well.

Many of the complaints you read about these lamps are true. The seam at the bottom of the fuel tank leaks fuel but there is a very easy fix I did that is working well so far.The fix to the leaking fuel is to put a bead of heavy duty household glue such as Gorilla glue or Go 2 glue around the seam at the base. Then to gently get the glue into the seam run your finger over the glue around the seam. So far this "fix" is working well and I do not have any leaks in my ne lamp. Hope this helps people.

This is a representation of a very good lantern, much like a photograph is a representation of the beach. It looks like a beach and it is sandy in color like the beach, but unfortunately it is not the beach.

Very pleased with the quality of this lamp. It has a sturdiness to it making it more durable. The outer red part is metal, and the glass that covers the flame and wick fits nicely into the lamp so there is no fear that the glass will fall out for no reason. I bought the oil to go with the lamp at Walmart in the candle section. Please just know that burning oil does cause a odor, this lamp is great for camping and emergencies. But just be cautious using indoors for long periods of time.

Got this in case a hurricane hit or power was otherwise knocked out. Works very similar to my other lamps and runs on the same oil. Brightness is whatever you make it with how much wick is exposed. Even three years later I still havent had to replace any lamp oil, so I'd say it's decently fuel efficient. Overall: I'd recommend.

I bought 6 of them for my outside patio. I would recommend bringing them in during rain they tend to fill with water during lots of rain.

The only fault I had is that I overfilled and it leaked. I guess I should have read the instructions first. It has a refill line not to exceed.

I bought two of these for use on camping trips, and also as emergency lights - yes, hurricane lamps do work well when your power is out from a hurricane. They lamps are a little flimsy, but do work well. No problems with broken glass on either one, and that includes a few camping trips where they bounced around in the bed of a truck for a weekend. As long as you are careful with them, I think they'll work just fine. Make sure you don't overfill the tank or it will leak all over the place. Overall, I would say they are a good buy for the money.

I bought these (10) and stored them away for use in a blackout situation. They seem to be good enough, hopefully I'll never get to find out!

We used 7 of this size and 3 of the small Stansport Hurricane lamp for centerpieces at a wedding reception after painting them to match the color theme. They worked well and gave off a nice light with the warm feeling we were looking for. We got them from different suppliers and all arrived packed well and on time and we were happy with the price. I would buy them again just to have as a back up for power outages.
