The lantern comes in a case of four. They were extremely discounted. They seem lightly made and the weight makes it feel like they are plastic but the stickers say All metal. Upon inspection they are. One of the four leaks through a seam at the bottom of the fuel tank. Since I filled all four and found it later I have the other three in quantize. I don't think I can return just one out of the case so I'll eat that one. It's been two weeks now and the second lantern has begun to leak. At a 50 failure rate don't waste your money.

A trifle tinny; nevertheless functional.

Almost a little too light. So far it's holding up to my use and I tend to be a bit rough on camping gear.

I did not feel like messing around with solder or anything that takes away from how it looks, so I used Permatex window and glass sealant. It was used for a couple of hours a day after it was sealed and it worked well. It does feel cheap because it is lightweight, but it has been knocked over by my dog and survived.

It is easy to use, but the overall construction of it could be better. The lever to lift the globe up and down does not operate as smoothly as I feel it should. Overall, it does the job it was intended for and it should last for quite awhile.

My stansports don't leak. Pics on paper bag for proofI let them sit at least 10 minutes after filling (NO HIGHER THAN WHERE THE RESERVOIR BEGINS TO NARROW) with lamp oil. I think people are just overfilling them. Read the instructions.Compared to the Feuerhand 276 I ordered elsewhere, the Feuerhand is, of course, far better quality. Heavier, sturdier, smoother to operate, but also more expensive and very hard to find right now. I bought the stansports for redundancy, and they work fine when used properly. No regrets. The little ones are "cute" and functional, but don't provide a very functional light intensity for reading or tasks. The big one is actually quite bright. Easily lights an average sized bedroom and I didn't even give my eyes time to adjust to darkness first, so after a few minutes it would likely be adequate for any household task.Lighting the small ones is much more difficult, but with a little common sense, it's no big deal. The lifter just doesn't lift the glass high enough. The large one is fine.No regrets about any of them.

The price was very good, they are very lightweight. The wick assembly is so loose it falls apart every time I use them making them time consuming also they leak fuel.

I use them for light at night in my cabin. They burn clean and soot - free when wick is properly adjusted. Do not overfill the reservoir or oil will seep out the bottom of the fill spout which is not soldered to the reservoir.

These are light and a bit flimsy, but do their job. My memory of these being high quality comes from using the solid brass one from my railroad days. But, you sure can't beat the price when these go on sale.

Many of the complaints you read about these lamps are true. The seam at the bottom of the fuel tank leaks fuel but there is a very easy fix I did that is working well so far.The fix to the leaking fuel is to put a bead of heavy duty household glue such as Gorilla glue or Go 2 glue around the seam at the base. Then to gently get the glue into the seam run your finger over the glue around the seam. So far this "fix" is working well and I do not have any leaks in my ne lamp. Hope this helps people.

Got this in case a hurricane hit or power was otherwise knocked out. Works very similar to my other lamps and runs on the same oil. Brightness is whatever you make it with how much wick is exposed. Even three years later I still havent had to replace any lamp oil, so I'd say it's decently fuel efficient. Overall: I'd recommend.

I bought 6 of them for my outside patio. I would recommend bringing them in during rain they tend to fill with water during lots of rain.

I bought two of these for use on camping trips, and also as emergency lights - yes, hurricane lamps do work well when your power is out from a hurricane. They lamps are a little flimsy, but do work well. No problems with broken glass on either one, and that includes a few camping trips where they bounced around in the bed of a truck for a weekend. As long as you are careful with them, I think they'll work just fine. Make sure you don't overfill the tank or it will leak all over the place. Overall, I would say they are a good buy for the money.

The lantern looks good and works fine, although it is fairly cheaply made. The glass is thin, as is the metal. It's not as strong as some of the more expensive units. I use it with citronella and overall I'm happy with it.
