This work both with refillable one pound bottles and, with a proper hose, with a standard 20 pound (5 gallon) propane tank..Continuously adjustable flame with a full range of temperatures. It isn't obvious in the picture, but the connection for the propane bottle or hose is at 90 degrees from the part that goes into the stove, which is what you would want.

I bought this for my 30 year old Coleman white gas stove. It fits perfectly and easily allows the use of the green propane bottles. I had adequate pressure to generate a lot of heat at the burner and detected no leaks at all. A great way to modernize that old stove and keep it working for years to come.

I have an old Coleman model 425 that is getting close to 40 years old. The original leather gaskets finally gave up and I purchased a Coleman repair kit. Sadly the new design is just not as good as the old ones were and I found it much more difficult to pump and maintain pressure.I bought this adapter to convert to propane and it's a dream. Easy to light and gives a good steady flame as well as good adjustability of the amount of heat produced. Years ago I chose white gas because the propane stoves at the time had such a short burn time but the standard bottle of Coleman propane lasted for a week of camping using it every morning for coffee and breakfast and dinners about every other day. It's a great way to get a good deal more life out of an old stove.

Really a handy thing to have for true multi-fuel capability to our coleman stove. Nice to have a choice of fuels when on the road.

It was exactly what I hoped it would be and I couldn't be happier with the converter. It works perfectly with my old liquid camping stove.

Unlike the first propane converter I bought (the Century Regulated Propane Converter (Grey), based on a larger number of positive reviews) this converter allows the user to make fine adjustments by turning the knob to any position: low, medium, high, and everything in between.By contrast, the Century model has four preset knob positions: high, higher, full blast, and flamethrower. Fine for boiling a large pot of water but useless for simmering, frying an egg, or any other cooking that requires a low flame. Both converters are of equal build quality as far as I can tell. The knob on the Stansport could be a little beefier, but it gets the job done.

I accidently ordered 2 of these, but will probably never ware out the first one. It works good and it sure beats pumping up the old gas tank.

I thought I was going to have to retire my 1979 Coleman Two burner white gas stove... This thing hooked up with NO alterations, now I just bring propane with me... No more spills and the dangers associated with liquid fuels...and burns hotter than the original fuel!!! Love it!!!
