Love! Trying to reduce caffeine to heal adrenals

I use this to make french press coffee. This does a good job mellowing the harsh taste of some coffees.

I've been drinking coffee for 35 years, probably longer. Some would say I'm a coffee enthusiast, but I'm definitely not snobby about it so this review is for those who just like simple coffee. Here's my backstory on why chicory then. After buying all the must-haves for the perfect cup of coffee I realized I like coffee, not caffeine -- go figure, right! Or rather caffeine no longer liked me, lol. I spent 4 years going between decaf, and coffee alternatives, giving up, going back to caffeinated, rinse and repeat. Coffee alternatives often try to mimic coffee's taste or promote how much it tastes just like coffee and in the process charge you for a healthier alternative. Honestly coffee isn't unhealthy either, but these alternatives just weren't what I was looking for and then lightbulb moment, I remembered chicory has been added to coffee for years and I wondered well what does chicory (which a) is a single-ingredient product and b) cost-efficient) taste like...Answer: No, not like coffee. But definitely not like tea either (no hate to tea!!) and yet still satisfying enough to be the warm beverage I can reach for in the morning to start my day because a hot cuppa in the AM cannot be beaten IMO. So to summarize, chicory has replaced my decaf coffee in the morning. I may play around with making an iced beverage from this one day, but for now, it is a great coffee replacement.

I reorder every few months. This is my go-to morning drink. No caffeine.

This chicory root is flavorful, and hearty.It is good when mixed with coffee or as a stand alone.

I have been using this for several years now, so it’s high time I add a glowing review! I use 1/2 cup in the bottom of my OXO cold brew maker plus 3 cups (ish) ground French roast coffee and it is SO great. Sooooo smooth and no bitterness at all. You will never want store bought cold brew again! Treat yourself and buy this product. Love it!

I've tried a few brands and this is my favorite.Offering a larger A value pack would be great!

Delicious, add to my coffee

I love good chicory. I like to mix it in with my coffee, or add a tiny pinch to a pot of herbal tea. I use only Starwest Botanicals chicory, because it tastes fresh, and is consistently good. I have tried several brands, but Starwest Botanicals is the one that I will continue to use.If you're a gardener, worms really appreciate coffee and chicory grounds placed on the ground under a layer of soft mulch.

I've been buying this roasted chicory root for years and it is always consistently fresh and flavorful! I mix it with roasted dandelion root and some other ingredients for a coffee alternative. Delicious!

My wife and I love the chicory coffee featured in so many New Orleans restaurants. The coffees with the chicory already in the mix don't seem to capture the flavor as well. I saw this product and decided to give it a try.It has a very pleasant scent and adds a softness to the coffee. I love the flavor. We have been drinking coffee in a half regular / half decaf. Using this instead of the decaf yields a much better flavor, while still giving the reduction in caffeine. It also gives your coffee a rich, dark color.
