Mission: To Empower youth aging out of foster care and at-risk youth in attaining ownership of their lives by providing them with a foundation of life skills to transition from dependence to independence and compete in society.
Results: Since 2012 we have had 185 kids come through the YEP. We partner with The Children's Shelter, Douglas County Youth Services to teach our life skills courses. In 2019 StopGap, Inc is recognized by the Douglas County Court. In 2018 we had a young man through our continuing education was excepted into Job Corp. Also, 2018 a young man went onto college, and said if it weren't for the life skills continuing education class he would not have known what to do.
