I bought for the purpose of travel and outdoor use in those times where temps can change drastically from 70F in the morning down to 40F at night.I got this on sale for $20 which was a far cry from $60-120 asking price of other packable down jackets. For the price, it's much warmer than I thought and has well thought out features. So far I've worn this in 42F weather, coldest and just going on a walk I was breaking a bit of a sweat with it half zipped. It has 2 exterior pockets and 2 internal pockets. Personally I wouldn't put too much in these, as I can really feel the thing stretch and drag down. Just gloves, hat, phone etc. should be fine, nothing like a can of soda or something. Water resistance is what you expect for thin nylon stuff, a few drops is fine, actual rain, get an umbrella or an actual waterproof layer. It's also pretty windproof, took it out in the aftermath of a pseudo hurricane and didn't feel the wind.It packs down pretty well into a 6 inch long 3 inch or so bundle but nothing like the high tech hiking stuff, I just wish there was a shorter loop so I can carabiner it to my pack easier but seems like it was intended to be carried like an umbrella. Also wish it packed into itself rather than have a bag which may get lost one day. The material imo isn't very durable, I have no rips yet, but I'm not confident and think if I rub on something the wrong way it's going to tear. The stitching seems fine so far, and doesn't seem to be leaking filler yet.Sizing wise, I have a 45 chest and usually wear XL, but this is kinda big even for an XL, maybe because they were antiicpating you layer something like a thick sweater underneath. It is also a bit long for my torso, about 2-3 inches more than I need to sit at my waist. I have 23 sleeves and that fits perfect.I don't expect this to last a long time, but it's useful for the time I'll have it.

Fall is heading towards winter here in southeast Michigan. I bought this coat to wear on those evenings when it's around freezing and spitting rain, but not yet cold enough to demand my real winter coat.Overall, the jacket looks really nice. It's very lightweight. I love the color (fits with my local sports team) and the zipper works well (often an issue for cheaper products). I'm not convinced durability will be all that good, but given the price I'm not that concerned about it. I've had jackets three times this expensive which only lasted a few winters, so I'm willing to experiment with this.I've been wearing this with a hoody or long-sleeved tee underneath at around freezing and it feels nice and warm. On days when it's in the forties I've worn it with just a short sleeve tee while going for a walk and it feels good. Water resistance seems good in light rain and snow, but I haven't gone out in soaking rain yet. Once it hits 20F and below I'd probably go to a thicker coat.

Just right for Fall. Easy to stuff in a small bag and have handy. Will fit over a light sweater. I got a size medium and I'm175 lbs , 5'7 if that helps.

This jacket provides a bit less warmth than I expected from reading the description. I'd probably give it a 3.5. But it's comfortable, well made, and fits nicely. So I'm keeping it for those reasons. I just need to wear a thicker shirt under it

I am 5’8”, 160lbs with an athletic body. For most people this fit would be okay. I just love my clothes to be fitted and so in this case I would get a XS but they didn’t have. Overall it looks good, light weight and fits in my small Tumi travel backpack. Which is the main reason I bought it, to get away from the bulkiness when traveling.

First off, I’m 5’9” 205lb, 45” chest stocky build. The L fit me very well, trim enough to look almost stylish with enough extra room for a sweatshirt underneath. As a casual coat for around town or keeping in the car, this is perfect and a great value. However, the deal breaker for me was the mobility of the arms. If I raise my arms up, the whole jacket lifts up around my neck exposing my midsection. As I was looking for a mid layer specifically for hiking, camping and other active outdoor activities, an REI Down 650 worked out better for me.

Got a sweet deal on this jacket with intended use on a backcountry canoe camping trip. It lofts up better than I expected for the price point and the exterior fabric is sturdy. The stuff sack packs the jacket down smaller than a football so travel is easy. Definitely worth the added space and weight in your bag for the warmth this layer adds. For me, this jacket goes over my fleece layer and under the gore-Tex layer for weather down just below freezing.I will probably get another color to keep in the car. Highly recommend product for the price!

Jacket was nice quality. But it was NOT bright orange like the photo. It is a burnt orange color. Not at all what color I expected. Also I usually fit a women size large. I bought this coat in mens small. The arms fit but it was too small around the waist. I'm afraid that mens medium would have too long of arms and wide shoulders. I guess they make these in a slim fit. I sent it back.

Very light. More like a spring jacket than a raincoat or winter coat. Great for what it is though - easy and simple. Packs nicely. Perfect for 45F or higher. Much cooler than that would require something warmer. All these things make it very good for camping.

Nice thin jacket for cool weather or part of layering. Cheapest “puffy jacket” on the market and it's pretty decent. It's nowhere as good as a real down jacket but will keep you warm on cool days. If you are looking for a jacket for colder weather look elsewhere. Best budget jacket.

The arms are long, if that's good for you then OK. The cuff does Not have elastic and fits to your arm. They hang halfway down your hand and the cuffs are large. Don't know if it resists water or not. Lightweight and appears to be warm. Getting the Cuffs fixed, by a seamstress, cost me more than the Jacket itself!

I bought this for my husband looking ahead to a cruise to Alaska, but he has already used it on a summer cruise to the Caribbean. It is very easy to pack in its travel bag and does not take up too much room in the suitcase. The jacket was warm for summer, but perfect for the rainy weather we encountered. It will be great worn over layers in colder temperatures. The jacket has several roomy pockets including one on the inside and is comfortable to wear. I ordered his usual size (XL) in the charcoal heather and it fits nicely without being too tight at any of the important parts. Sleeve length is good as well. I think this is something he will get a lot of use from over the years. Only thing that might have made it better is a hood of some sort (although he says he likes it better this way)!
