This jacket is a decent choice for daily use, such as commuting to work/school etc. It would also be a good choice for more laid back camping/outdoor activities. Its light and packs down well. It is waterproof and has kept me dry in some pretty heavy downpours. And while technically the material is breathable, it is very limited and will definitely build up condensation on the inside quickly if exerting yourself. The wicking effect just takes too long on this level of material. You need to spend at least 4 times as much money to get a truly breathable jacket, able to stand up to more rigorous outdoor activities.On a side note. I've read a few comments about these jackets possibly being knock offs, based on the logo not being a sewn on design, and some other cosmetic differences. I have a couple of older Columbia jackets that also have the swn on logos etc. If you go to Columbia's official website (which is what I did after reading comments about possible fake jackets) the images for this jacket (and many others) clearly show that the logo etc are some kind of printed on design. Not the sewn on kind. My guess is they switched to printed designs at some point, and some of the older stuff with the sewn designs is still in circulation along with the newer designs.

I'm 6'5” and this fits perfectly. I like the color. It's sun. The jacket fits well. The only thing that's not perfect is sometimes the zipper gets stuck which can be annoying. The logo is not embroidered but it sounds like that's normal to make it water proof.

Really good at keeping you dry in light or heavy rain. Would recommend, particularly when on sale. Probably wouldn't last too long working in construction or farm work outside in rain.

This jacket was $100 at Bells, and $60 at Khol's. Great price and very quick delivery.

I recently purchased this jacket for my son but I also own this same jacket. We recently experienced a good storm. Both jackets had good water resistance for approximately 30 minutes but, unfortunately, they became very saturated by the rain.( Note: I had recently treated my jacket with NikWax.)It's a good jacket I'd recommend for light rain but don't expect protection in a sustained downpour.

I think that the coat was light and felt comfortable.

The velcro on the cuff is positioned 1/2cm off between left and right sleeves. This is fine (and common) on a $20 jacket, it's not acceptable at this price-point. The tie-off stitch on about half of the velcro is loose, not OK at this price-point.Great material quality so I'm happy enough but if this was in-store I'd have put what arrived back on the rack or asked for a discount.

It isn't waterproof. Soaked right through.

Loved everything about this jacket! Fit well. Has a lot of Velcro at the zip line and at the cuffs to provide the air tightness.

it's big enough, but it's not long at all.

I just replaced my old Columbia jacket that I bought from the Columbia store. Can't say for sure if it's the same model or what but its very similar. As long as this is mostly waterproof I don't care if it's fake or not. I don't need it to be waterproof for standing in the rain for hours but if it keeps me dry for 20 minutes or so that's okay with me. Large fits me fine at 6ft 200lbs

This is my third purchase of this same jacket over the years. It is still a very good jacket but Columbia has made some small changes to the jacket which make it less visual appealing but maintain the functionality.
