This turned out to be perfect for a recent trip and Safari excursions to South Africa and Zimbabwe.This is lightweight but very well made. Zippers work very well. It clocks the wind and rain. Keeps one warm in the cold early morning or night conditions in early African spring.Yet it compresses and does not take up much space in a suitcase.One of the best jackets/windbreakers I have ever owned. I really like it.The color (a lighter-medium blue) looked great too.Highest possible recommendation.

Since I had bought this back in March but had not worn it for the longest time, the defect was not detected until recently. On the third wearing the zipper locked up and I had to take scissors to cut the fabric away in order to get it off. Garbage.

I was very satisfied with this jacket. It did a good job keeping the wind and light rain out while spending a week in Alaska. Temps ranged 40-50 F every day. I wore a wool base layer with jeans or joggers, and hoodie or flannel button up along with Columbia fleece light jacket under this. I was able to easily shed a layer when temperatures came up, or when hiking. The zipper does hang a bit on the velcro closures but it's not a big deal. I am 5.10 and usually wear medium, but sometimes have to go to a large depending on brand. I tried both lg and med. The medium fit perfectly. The large left a little more room for layers but was to baggy on me when worn without layers.

Works great until you want to unzip. You have to go very slow or it grabs the weather lip on one side until fully stuck. Undid it a few times before it was unable to release without cutting. Normally love Columbia but this is just cheap.

Calidad excelente, mido 184 cms y soy delgado, compr una talla L pero me qued grande, demasiado holgada, la devolv y ped una talla M que me qued perfecta. Hasta ahora lo nico negativo es que al llevarla abierta e ir caminando se pega el velcro de la manga derecha con la del lado de la cremallera.

I used this rain jacker as a shell with a fleece on a windy and rainy day. I kept warm and dry. I would recommend this coat.

Use this waterproof windbreaker in the .... rain, and it delivers its promise!!! It's waterproof! If it isn't, it's highly water-resistant. Used it once in the shower, 4 times in the pouring rain. Water just rolled off or beaded up, then flew away when brushed off...and it's a big and tall size! Awesome

You can't go wrong with a Columbia product. This jacket has room to go over winter clothes too. The hood is roomy doesn't choke or restrain you like some do. Sturdy fabric.
