This is perfect for the rain. You can layer under it. True to size. Keeps the wind out. Worth the purchase price.

Not snug fitting at all, perfect for a fat boy. Would've been Five Stars if the hood was capable of being stowed in the collar

I work as an electrician, and as you can probably understand, it is important for me to stay dry. And that I do with this coat. Snow and rain proof. Haven't got a single drop of water on my torso since I've bought it.I started with a large tall, wound up going with a medium. The others were too big, unless you're planning on wearing a jacket underneath it. I will say the material inside is not soft. So plan accordingly. I wear a long sleeve with it almost every time. It is roomy enough for me to fit another hoody underneath with the medium. 6'2' 165-170 lbs 76' wing span.

Bought this cause I knew I was playing a golf tournament in the rain and this worked amazingly well! Waist to neck, I was bone dry. Was lose fitting but not overly baggy.

Durable, solid, wonderful light feeling overcoat. Perfect over a down jacket, or wool sweater. I bought tall sizing for even more weather protection.

I wanted to wait a few months to try this jacket out before leaving a review so I could form an opinion on it. I have had this jacket for 6 months and it has been great so far. It has been great so far, just what I was looking for. The jacket is lightweight which was one of the things I was looking for so I could wear it year round. The jacket is light enough to not burn you up on warmer humid days (Kentucky humidity is brutal) but also loose enough to comfortably wear a sweater under during colder weather. I keep it in my car so that I have handy at all times no matter where I am. I've worn it in numerous drizzles, a few down pours, and even a rain/snow/sleet combo and have remained perfectly dry each time. Highly recommend!

Fit nicely, seems well-constructed but I wish it had a little more substance.

This jacket is very quality made . Ran it under the sink to test water resistance and I can tell that it will do good in heavy rain . I hike a Lot and have tested many jackets this already feels great. I bought a medium and fit was great to no layers

Wish it had a water proof/resistant inside pocket or two and a stow away hood pocket but those are features on more expensive jackets. Its just a reasonably priced, packable and lightweight rain jacket. Omni-Tech seems to work reasonably well. Zippers are lightweight and may not last too long depending on frequency of use.

This is my second Columbia jacket and both have met my expectations. This one is very light and looks really good. The Omni-Tech fabric is really weather-proof, however, I haven't found any weather-proof jacket that is really breathable when you truly need it to be, like hiking in the rain in warm weather. Both jackets (the other one is the three-in-one type) are size medium, but this one fits a little tighter so keep that in mind when ordering.

One caveat at the end.I purchased two of these for an upcoming Alaskan vacation so we would have something easy to pack, easy to carry and effective against the Rainforest environment we are headed to.Well, mine passed it's first test with flying colors. Our area just went through a day of torrential downpours and a few F1 tornadoes. In sideways rain this jacket kept my torso and head nice and dry while my legs got soaked. It was about a two minute walk to my vehicle and was at times difficult to stay upright. The pockets and front zip close up tight with no water intrusion. The hood is roomy enough to comfortably accommodate a ball cap and cinches up nicely. The sleeves are nice and long. I'm 6'3 with long arms. The sleeves on my jacket (while standing relaxed) come down to about the first joint of my thumbs. That also helps keep the rain from intruding. The only downside side I could see is that it does absolutely nothing to keep the wind from stripping the heat out of the wearer. I wouldn't expect it to, but it is something that should be noted. That said, there is plenty of room to layer clothing underneath.I hope these are still available next time I'm in the market.Update: during yet another day of 38 degree Temperatures and sideways rain, I ran into a hiccup. While out doing some shopping, and having already been to a few stores, I entered my next stop and attempted to unzip my jacket. The zipper refused to budge except to move further up. After a little investigation I found that the inside flap of the jacket had gotten pulled into the zipper itself preventing it from unzipping. I found that, with a little fiddling, I could easily pull the flap material out of the zipper without moving the zipper or damaging the jacket. I'll be a little more careful about it in the future.

Everything about this windbreaker is 5 stars except for the zipper, which gets 1 star because it is constantly getting jammed. Somehow it's still functioning despite the incessant jamming. Zip and unzip VERY carefully.
