I tried no less than 10 different tools to find studs in old plaster and large walls and this was the only one that was 100 perfect. If you need to find studs in plaster walls, this is the tool to use. Finally a solution for me!!!

I love how simple and easy it is to use. My only negative is I keep losing them. I believe this is my 4 th one.

I have a nice stud finder and use it regularly. But this helps me find buried nails or screws; very necessary to do this sometimes. Works Great!

These will find steel studs through one layer of drywall. They will also locate screws

I hate electric stud detectors.I've owned more than I can count.I saw a cabinet installer use a magnet to find studs. I started using them too.But when I saw a video of a guy removing an entire sheet of drywall using this, I had to try it.After I got it home I started looking for nails. Bang. It found an entire wall full of nails.I will have to put all my electronic gizmos in my next garage sale. This is all you need.

I've used it on the job as a carpenter. Remodeling hospitals. Works great for finding screws and even heavier gauge studs behind 5/8 drywall. I was gonna give it 4 stars for value but tbh I'd happily pay for another one in the future for that. Even though it's a very simple design. It works perfectly for one specific job for me.

Faultless! I trusted the other positive reviews and was not disappointed! This is the stud finder I've been looking for! But buy 2, I keep misplacing mine!

My husband loves this... it makes it so easy for him to find a stud. This attaches to a NAIL in the stud. It not used for finding any electrical or plumbing, and it is a little expensive to purchase, but makes it sure works great! Everyone always wants to borrow it, but we know that it won't find it's way back home.

Simple easy to use. Nothing to break and finds the studs quickly by magnetically attaching to the metal nails or screws in the studs.

Like most of us, I watched the video to remove drywall faster with less mess. Bought the forged nail puller thought any Neodymium Rare Earth magnet would suffice. I WAS WRONG. Tried the discs, the blocks, the heavy duty and the 35 key ring - all a waste of $$ for the job. The Studball Finder does exactly what you need - can find mark a nail/screw head within mm for easy pulling and minimal mess. Also - The 18 vinyl cutter is nice, but box cutter and ladder are just as fast since you're up there pulling nails anyway.

Product works as described, just hate the fact its marketed as if you're getting a pack of 4 when its really only one.

I use this constantly during demo. It is a very powerful magnet for locating drywall screws - even under thick mud. Once located, I pull as many screws as I can find and remove drywall in one giant sheet instead of round, dusty messy piles of rubble.Update: I lost it. It's so powerful that it will stick to a nail-head and jump out of your tool belt. I've found it stuck to a nail in the attic, stuck to a radiator that was in a trash pile and stuck to a tool that was put away. When I lose it, all work stops while I search. I bought two more as a back up.
