I use this constantly during demo. It is a very powerful magnet for locating drywall screws - even under thick mud. Once located, I pull as many screws as I can find and remove drywall in one giant sheet instead of round, dusty messy piles of rubble.Update: I lost it. It's so powerful that it will stick to a nail-head and jump out of your tool belt. I've found it stuck to a nail in the attic, stuck to a radiator that was in a trash pile and stuck to a tool that was put away. When I lose it, all work stops while I search. I bought two more as a back up.

This little inexpensive gadget is awesome! I've used a battery operated stud finder in the past and it is very persnickety. With this little ball magnet one just runs it over the wall till it makes contact with a screw in the drywall/stud. Love It!

I love this thing. The magnet is really strong and it's so easy to use for finding metal studs or finding screws in sheet rock. Everyone I let use it on the jobsite always ask where they can get one

Just what I need to find stud to attach new TV holder. Hold this handy device up against the wall and move slowly across back forth. When it finds a nail it really grabs! There is no doubt where that stud is located. An, yes, it IS strong enough it will actually hang on the wall! Best tool very reasonable price in my opinion

Need to remove drywall? Get this. You'll pinpoint screws and remove full sheets instead of making a huge dusty mess breaking up drywall pieces.I even was able to reuse large parts of the drywall I removed because I didn't completely destroy it when it was removed.This is the kind of thing that you would give as a gift to someone who does remodeling work and they'd probably think it's stupid until they use it. Then everyone on their crew would buy one.It also works great to find nails, broken staples and pins hidden in reclaimed wood.

I bought this to aid in removing drywall by finding and removing the screws and it works very well for that. With this, I am able to find all the drywall screws within a few minutes and get the panels down rather quickly without the mess of demolishing it.

You never miss finding a stud, because you can always find a screw or nail with a magnet. I've tried lots of electronic stud finders but the are sketchy at best.

I have an older home, guessing that is why this one doesn't work well, though if it had the magnetic that it advertises, it should have worked, but didn't here.

Not just a great metal stud finder but it will pick up all your little: screws ,blades ,loose drill bits etc while in you tool bag.

Perfect for finding studs- but very hard to clean- metal from dirt, or screws can quickly get stuck in the groves- and pulling this in and out of the tool bag is tough with the strength and shape of the magnet
