Mission: The mission of Students Run LA (SRLA) is to challenge underserved secondary students to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health by providing them with a truly life-changing experience: The training for and completion of the LA Marathon. Through this transformative experience, students discover their best selves, learn how to set and achieve personal and academic goals, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and develop the resiliency to overcome life's obstacles.

Each year, SRLA welcomes more than 3,200 middle and high school students at 185 public schools and community programs across Greater Los Angeles to train alongside their teachers to complete the entire Los Angeles Marathon. Annually, 99% of students who start the Marathon, finish it! 99% of SRLA seniors graduate high school with 95% having plans to attend college in the fall & 75% of these students are among the first-generation of their families to go to college!

Students Run LA is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1993, and donations are tax-deductible.
