I have done a few wire now, need to use a heat gun, torch is pretty touchy not to melt the heat shrink tubing. Not sure the solder is bonding to the wires with no flux, but just it melted around/thru them seems to give good conductivity.

Use a heat gun with concentrate tip and follow directions. You should be able to achieve your goal with these. Use the right size for your wire.
