Mission: Sun Valley Animal Shelter, Inc. , is an Arizona nonprofit corporation with 501(c)3 status which operates a No-Kill shelter in Glendale, Arizona, generally serving the western portion of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The organization was founded in 1991 by a group of Sun City area residents as a foster-based program to provide adoption opportunities for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats. The current facility was built in 1995 and can house 100+ dogs and 100+ cats. The organization receives no government funding and is supported by income from our thrift store profits, adoption fees, membership dues, donations and bequests

Results: A low cost hospital, Sun Valley Hope Animal Hospital was established in November of 2012.This helps the community who are looking to provide the best care at affordable prices for either their cat or dog. The hospital also services the many independent rescues to provide beneficial care to their adoptable pets as well.

Programs: Spay and Neuter & Community Awareness to the plight of abandoned cats and dogs in the greater Phoenix area. Our available animals for adoption also have their shots records updated and have a microchip inplanted.
