Don't believe negative reviews saying it's not directional. The ring can be hard to loosen. I screwed it into the return tightly then unscrewed and the ring came off fine, then point the eye wherever you want

Should have read reviews first. As stated by others, this is nonadjustable and points straight forward, not at an angle as shown in the product pictures. Therefore, this is absolutely useless on a round pool. Hayward store will not accept returns. I will never buy another product from Hayward store.

Nozzle is not adjustable as picture indicates. On top of that, Item is not eligible for return when I tried to send this crap back.

Made in China and not a very re-production. This is a fixed return fitting there is no adjustment for the eyeball to send water where you want.

Upon first inspection I thought this was a fixed jet. But it DOES adjust directionally. Just loosen the big outer ring it will adjust. It is, however, non-refundable, so be sure it is what you need. :-)

I ordered 2 one is directional the other one is fixed in place. I don't care which one I get just that they are the same.

This Hayward SP1419D is not directional in the true sense of the word since there is no adjustable eyeball. It can't be returned so make sure you order what you need. I needed the one with the adjustable eyeball.
