I like how they are opaque. They have a strong solid color. Not weak like I those clear colored bulbs. Just got them so don't know yet about longevity - assume it's average?

I purchased the blue 7W bulbs and found that they got extremely hot to the point they could potentially be dangerous. I had to go back to the clear 4W nightlights which can go 24 hours without any significant heat concerns.
