It works, but is a little on the expensive side.

The color on these is just right! I've found that a lot of LEDs are too harsh in terms of color. But I swapped out the bulbs in our family room with these and it's soft enough that my wife didn't even notice the difference! If you knew her, you'd know this was a huge endorsement of this product. Great bulb, great price! Buying more for another room now.

As described. Needed this instead of the hot halogen light that was in our house.

This bulb runs cool and provides a tight, soft-edged pattern. It is an excellect, dimmable choice for a Luxo architect's lamp.

Works great in my desk lamp fixture. Very bright equivalent to a 60-100w, Low heat and energy use compared to filament style bulb. I like the bulb is compact and I can keep the light high off the desk and still not see the bulb directly. Would recommend.

It took me a few tries to finally found an LED bulb that works for this hood, which is only spec'd to work with halogen (too hot) or incandescent (doesn't last long) bulbs. Dimming works too.

At first, one bulb had a barely detectable flicker. I removed the bulb and reinstalled it, and the flicker went away. The bulbs fit into our range hood perfectly and the high/low light settings on the hood also work correctly.

I had good experience using this bulb behind a plastic color wheel to project on a vintage aluminum Christmas tree. Lower heat emission than a standard light bulb so plastic wheel did not warp or melt.

Gets a little warm, but not as bad as many others. Solid spot light.

Gave it a 4 overall ONLY because i am ordering more since one burned out after only18 months use (at 24 hrs a day that would be about 1/2 the life expectancy advertised and these are NOT on 24 hrs a day). I like them enough that I am ordering more and hoping this one bulb was defective and the other 5 from the last order don't burn out for a while still. Overall, decent brightness, perfect soft white color, and at reduced power consumption acceptable purchase.

Given this wattage and low color temperature, I expected something a little dimmer. Not so. The spot on the floor that it makes when 8' high is quite bright. Which makes it look like it has a higher than 2700K color temperature. It would probably look cooler on a higher ceiling.

I have several PAR 16 bulbs in track lighting in a room with high ceilings. They were previously 75 watt halogen. Besides the considerable energy savings with these LED's, I hope they last a lot longer like they are supposed to, since I need to get on a tall ladder to replace the previous halogens on a somewhat frequent basis. The other issue is the old 75 watt par16 are not available readily at the local stores, I always had to order online. The old bulbs were brand name Sylvania narrow flood par16. I was keeping my eye out for an LED version to come out that was cost competitive, looked good, and provided the same brightness as well as soft, not harsh light. These are definitely on par (pun intended), with the price and brightness of the old Sylvania Halogens. I had some initial concern on brightness since these Sunlite LEDs say 500 lumens, and I believe 75 watt halogens say 900 lumens. I bought one at first just to check. They seem just as bright in my opinion, almost undetectable difference at the light reaching the floor, walls, and other surfaces, when comparing both at the same time. They provide a little whiter light than the halogens, but not harsh. Just saying if you are holding back because you're comparing lumens like I did, I don't think you'll see much difference in brightness. I had a similar concern when I replaced an outdoor flood light that was halogen with an LED that didn't produce as many lumens, but it is just as bright too, if not brighter. I'm hoping these have the longevity they are supposed to, time will tell, but at least now I am happy with the brightness and quality of the light, and energy savings about 1/10 what the old bulbs used. The only other thing I'd mention they do seem just a tad longer than the old Sylvania halogens, maybe 1/4 inch that sticks out of the housing a hair further. Your base may be different, but the Sylvania bulbs were about flush with the edge, whereas these stick out a hair further, but no big deal to me. I'm not looking up at the lights anyway.

I'm giving this five stars because the product is as advertised. I only wished they had this size in a dimmer bulb. This is too bright for me.

This is a fantastic light to replace the original Hodgins it's not as hot it's extremely brighter the only thing I have to say is you may want to have a dimmer switch The lamps in some cases may be too much light without being able to dimmed they are dimmable with a standard limit switch

I bought these because I was tired of waiting for the original hot halogen bulbs that came in my range hood to burn out. These save lots of electricity, are far brighter with more realistic light (in terms of color temperature), and were reasonably priced. As other people have noticed, there's not a great difference between the high and low settings with LED bulbs, but this is one of those guilt-free purchases that you'll never regret if you leave them on all night.
