I used this on an old Craftsman table saw. I used a deep 4 square electrical box with a single-gang cover to mount the switch. Now I can turn off the saw with a nudge of my knee. Just what I wanted at a reasonable price.

After installation my band saw is OSHA compliant. A previous repairman installed a simple on/off switch that did not have the E-stop paddle.

I have a very old craftsman table saw from the 1950's that has been mounted on a wooden table. To switch it on, there was a recessed box with a switch inside. Difficult to turn on, and even more difficult to turn off. I replaced the electrical box with one that I cold mount more on the surface of the hole, and then mounted the switch. The switch works great so far. You can either lift the cover and hit the green button, or push it through the hole. Turning the unit off is a simple matter of tapping the paddle. Its a nice touch and works great.

Es un excelente interruptor, me gust mucho. Lo nico es que no viene con las instrucciones de instalacin, pero estas se consiguen fcil por internet con la referencia del producto.

Nice addition to my table saw. It works great. Definitely need to install it in a deep electrical box. It does not fit well in a normal box. I used it on a 120v. 1.75HP saw and it works great.

I love my tablesaw, but the switch had very small buttons. Love this new switch. I can turn the saw off with my thigh as I'm finishing the cut. I used the machine screws that came with it. They don't fit standard boxes, so I just drilled out the holes a little bigger and used the supplied nuts. This is a 220volt 3 hp saw. Works great.

Mounting this switch inside a deep double gang box was no problem.I like the lock out option on the ON button -- but I did not like that the pin to do so was not provided. Luckily I had one that fit nicely. OFF button is easily engaged. ON takes a deliberate push to turn on which is what I want in this safety switch. So far I like how this safety switch works.It is true no installation sheet is provided, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Switch is DPST. Switch terminals are clearly labeled as load and line which means that the unlabeled side is common.

Having read a number of reports lamenting on how difficult it it to install this switch, I must differ. In one of the photos the switch is pictured on a blue plastic junction box (commonly available at most hardware stores). Assuming one has a box like this, installing the switch couldn't be easier. Physically, one just removes the nuts and lock washers at back of switch and screws it into the top and bottom junction box mounts. Contrary to some reviewers, the switches screws align perfectly.In my case, a power cord with three-pronged plug enters one side and a romex line to a duplex outlet are on the other side. The duplex plug powers the router and shop vac when power is turned on. This switch does the job perfectly and cheaply.

sturdy and does the job however you must use a extra deep electrical box which it doesnt come with would have been nice if they included one

I installed this on my table saw. Although the casing around the buttons matched the box on the saw, the mounting holes did not line up. I had to do some modification to the buttons to get it installed. My mod for it was pretty simple. I just had to relocate one mounting hole by drilling another. If you buy this, make sure of all the dimensions. It's a good buy for the money. It works great. Better than the original. I like the fact that it has the big stop paddle. That was the reason I purchased it. I can shut it down with my knee if needed.
