AA-AK31141 Audio Record and Playback Kit
This cost-efficient record and playback kit is great for point-of-purchase displays, haunted houses, or any application where an event driven (use the on-board switches or wire to an external switch) pre-recorded message is needed. An ISD1730 IC is used for high quality, multimessage voice recording and playback via the built-in audio amplifier. Voice signals can be fed into the IC for recording through two independent paths: a differential microphone input (for use with the included microphone element) or a single-channel 42k ohm analog input.
The ISD1730 provides up to 670 mW (with 5.5 VDC power supply) of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Class-D speaker amplification (to power the included 3/4", 8 ohm driver) and a separate analog output for use with an external amplifier (sold separately). Up to four messages (20 seconds of total message duration available) can be recorded and saved into the ICs non-volatile flash memory that maintains recordings, even without power.
A green LED is used as the operating indicator and operating input voltage spans a range from 2.4 to 5.5 VDC to ensure that the kit is optimized for a wide range of battery options; you can even use USB bus power! Kit requires assembly.
Note: Speaker wire in the finished picture is not included.

| SW1 | Reset | When pressed, the device enters into the powered-on, clear-all state. |
| SW2 | Record | When pressed, starts recording a message, hold the key for the duration of the message. If there's an analog audio input , hold both SW2 and SW7 to record the analog signal. |
| SW3 | Play | Plays recorded messages individually. |
| SW4 | Erase | Erases individual messages or performs a global erase when you keep on hold this key for 4 seconds. |
| SW5 | Forward | Advances to the next message from the current location. |
| SW6 | Volume | Cycles through 8 volume settings, loudest to softest. |
| SW7 | FT | Hold this key with SW2 to enable the Analog In for analog input record. |
