This is a excellent fixed jackplate if you need to get a long shaft outboard up to the correct hight on a shorter transom

Works great for a 1436 Jon Boat. You can raise or lower and adjust it by uninstalling it and re-bolting it. After installing, I realized that I could go up one more inch. Just drill out the marked holes on the mini-jacker and re-bolt to transom. The wood has no water protection so a couple of coats of outdoor polyurethane on each side of the wood should work fine. Also used clear silicon around the bolts and where the mini-jacker makes contact with the transom. Uses 6 bolts, not included. Very sturdy for a 85 lb 9.9 hp. Now the ventilation / cavitation plate is 1 inch above the keel.

These guys are awesome. Came in fast! The picture I have doesn't show the wood that comes with is for thickness.

High quality jackplate. It's even more heavy duty than I thought it would be. Worked great for mounting a long shaft motor on my short shaft transom. Would highly recommend.

This is a solid piece of product. It's very sturdy, calls for nice thick bolts to hold it in place (3/8, you provide the bolts), and I would easily say is stronger than my transom itself. The only thing which could be improved is sealing the wood itself as it doesn't come that way and you must do it yourself. There should also be a way provided for attaching the wood block to the plate itself, I am only dinging one star for that stuff.Otherwise, an absolutely solid item.
