This relay is the best. I've tried 3 other relays none have been able to withstand powering my 50 amp fan. This one handles it like a champ. I'm using it with a waterproof hella wiring pigtail.

Was an exact replacement for CMC part 7493. My jackplate was not going up intermittently. I thought the problem was the 2 button switch on the console, but after checking the switch with my voltmeter, decided it was in the relays (part 7493) or possibly the actuator. I discovered something when I installed the new relay. There are 2 relays in the system, an up relay and a down relay, but the electrical current goes through both relays on each operation. On UP the up relay connects to the actuator motor and the down relay connects the motor to -. On DOWN the down relay connects to opposite side of the actuator motor and the up relay connects the motor to -. I initially replaced the up relay with the new one but still had the problem of not moving up. I then replaced the down relay with the new one, and put the old up relay back into place, and everything worked fine. The down relay was the faulty device by not making the - connection to the battery.

Fixed my CMC jackplate. Old relay would test as good on all contacts but would not carry enough amperage to power the hydraulic actuator. Quick unplug and plug in the new relay.
