This drain tube works as it should. If you need to cut it stick a small screwdriver through the slits in the strainer and work it up and down, and the glue will break off. Then you can cut and reglue.

In my 2001 Monark King. I actually cut it down and capped it to keep water from coming back up into one of my livewells. Now I can use the larger one as dry storage when not in use.
