These were perfect for my craft project which is a Christmas casserole tote made of a gold metallic red/green plaid with gold trim. The shoelace is used as a drawstring to close it.

The laces worked great for the Gold and Black color themed party I was attending. The perfect accent. They were subtle rather than over the top. The metalic sheen is understated like a gold nugget rather than gold lam.

STIFF, like the material of ribbons we use for gift packaging. When you make a bow on your shoes with these, they will stiffly stay up, not draping on the shoes. They stick out straight up/sideways, looking weird. I wanted my shoelaces to be more like cloth, so they would fall when tied into a bow.

These are very cute. I ordered the red and the green and love them both. The only disappointment was that the red were wider than the green so I could not mix and match them as I had planned to do red on one shoe and green on the other. I will just swap back and forth instead.
