I was very pleased with these shoe strings. They have the right amount of shine to them. I bought them to make my lace up shoes pop with glitter. They are very much worth the buy...if you want to JAZZ UP A PAIR OF SHOES OR BOOTS.

I'm not actually using these on shoes/skates but for another decorative purpose. They are GOLD. The photo looks more black or distressed gold, but they are shiny spangly bright yellow gold. If that's what you're looking for, go for it.
