But it works so far!

This was a replacement for an existing zone switching relay that failed. It was easy to install and works exactly as expected. The only thing I didn't like and the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the LED indicator for the zones is hard to read - can't really tell which zone is activated. This will not impact the operation and may not be an issue for anyone but me.

Wish there was a little more room at the bottom for wires but it all worked out fine

Modernizing my furnace this fall was easy- thanks to this. This box replaced a bunch of older separate components and made wiring simpler and future troubleshooting much easier. I removed one zone and am only currently running two, but I plan to expand to add a zone for a garage heater and pool heater- so this was a no-brainer since it cost just barely more than a two-zone version. It was nice to throw away those old, bulky controllers and the external transformer. What wasn't really apparent was how to get this to cooperate with zone valves, but I removed those and rely solely on circulator pumps now. The switched output is 110V for the pumps, but wiring my zone valves in-line with the t-stat like my original Honeywell system worked did not function with this unit.

I had two separate relays and needed three as one relay was controlling two items. My hot water tank was always on in the winter months and I was almost getting steam out of the faucet. Problem solved with Taco 3 Zone Switching Relay.
