I wanted to use it to hold ropes, tree saddle hunting. It took alot to get the weird smell off of it. Washed it several times with scent free soap, scent killing sprays, finally rubbed it with cedar and pine needles and stored it for a few weeks.

I actually use this as a trail snack holder on my molle rucksack's hip belt. It keeps my snacks easily accessible, so I don't have to stop to get something to eat. The pouch is good quality, though the colors are a bit off from my ACU pack, more of a tan than a green, hence 4 stars.
