Ive used the tent a few times now. I can say im largely happy with it. Based in expectations, it received 4 stars, but i dont know anything in the modern world would receive 5 stars. Yes, its made in foreign lands, as is everything else made by 34;more reputable 34; companies, and made very adeptly. Seams are well made and even, and the fabric is of decent quality. I am impressed with the design. Cavernous vestibules, though its hard to stand up directly out of the tent while one fiddles awkwardly with their shoes. You have to duck first. The venting worked fantastically in humid nights and i stayed dry in the rain, great design accessible from the interior. Ample headroom, though side to side leaves the 3 person rating seem a bit of a snuggle in warm weather. In the 4th season, which I haven't the joy yet, snug is life giving. 2nd setup was at night, with no headlamp. It went up smoothly. Its slightly asymmetrical, so put the writing up front, tent and fly. Nice. The rainfly weighs as much as the tent and poles. I eat pick things up. If youre all about the ultralight, sleep in your backpack instead of whining about the tent. Zippers arent snaggy in the least bit. Which is more than i can say about some of our uber expensive 34;outdoor34; clothing manufacturers. The floor of the tent, as stated prior isnt the heaviest fabric ive encountered. I hear the footprint is hard to find, if it exists at all. Some scissors and your choice of typical diy camper fabrics solves your problems, if you're helpless, im sorry, buy an msr tent and the footprint that costs as much as this whole tent did. Theres pockets running the circumference inside. Nice. A queen mattress fits inside with a little room on the sides a ton of room front to back. Nice...if thats how your 34;other34; rolls...to me, thats to give a idea of size. Rainfly isnt kissing the ground. Cool, the bathtub floor is waterproof. Is a hair loose though, no boiiiiinng. Not in love with the door when the outside of the tent is soaked, but a $700 tent has the same problem. Good luck. The ends of the tent poles can come loose, either pay attention when removing them or tap the end of the tubing with a nailset solve your issues. No matter what, you cant lose them anyways. The stakes that come with the tent worked great in several soils, pull out easily by holding an extra stake perpendicular in the notches provided. I like them. Theres no good reason to knock them, 'cept you just wanna complain. I stayed cool enough in burning heat (fly open) and warm enough on a chilly fall night. All in all im highly impressed. Especially for the money. It rivals most, and surpasses some stupid expensive tents. Jolly good show that seems, so far, well worth my money.
