Mission: Team Maggie For A Cure is a nationwide 501(c)3 who supports, educates and financially assists young men and women with cancer who are seeking fertility preservation. "Keeping the Dream of Family Alive"
Results: 155 young adults have received grants of up to $2500.That is 155 young adults and children that have had cancer and were able to harvest eggs or bank sperm so that one day they may have a family of their own with the help of a Team Maggie Grant.
Target demographics: We help bring awareness and financial assistance to young adults with cancer seeking to preserve their fertility before treatment. This is very costly and health insurance does not cover it. A grant can "Keep the Dream of Family Alive" and give them a positive outlook going into treatment.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Team Maggie For A Cure has provided 41 grants in 2019 to young adults who were newly diagnosed with cancer or who were childhood cancer survivors.
Geographic areas served: We are based in Roswell, GA
Programs: We provide grants up to $2500 toward the first stage of fertility preservation. Dcortors and grant recipients who speakers at our event bring awareness to the side effects of cancer treatment and the options available. Started groups composed of Team Maggie Grant Recipients that socialize together and help each other during and after cancer to find their "new normal".
