Unit is easy to set up , pulls a lot of water out in a short time.We use this to supplement the HVAC in our lab to control the summer humidity fluctuation. It fills the water tank in 4hours run time in a 20 x 50 space, so we are connecting it to a permanent drain. Works well.

I bought the hOmelabs unit to replace a Frigidare 50 (old 70) pint unit that died after not quit 4 years.This unit dissipates less heat and does a better job of maintaining the humidity in my finished basement.After 28 months (so out of warranty) this unit started icing-up, it was unable to defrost.I contacted hOmelabs chat support and after a short QA Charlotte decided I needed a new unit even though I was out of warranty- how amazing is that?!

I'd rate this a 10. It's easy to empty and clean

Louder than expected but I use it in an unfinished basement and it is extremely effective in dehumidification.If using on manual empty mode (rather than tubing for auto gravity drain) this product is exceptional and will give ya great exercise keeping up with dumping its more than adequately sized collection bin.

we bought this device for our somewhat musty smelling basement. Amazed that in one day of use it filled up and the smell went away. We have since attached a hose to drain into our sump pump and the filter occasionally needs to be cleaned but noise is less than an electric razor through a closed door.

We moved into a rental house with a full, finished musty basement. Within 2 days the dehumidifierdelivered as promised. I still have to empty the tank twice a day, but it's worth every trip tp the sink!

Easy set up right out of box

Use this to manage the humidity in the room my guns are in (prevent rust and wood from cracking).It's overkill for my size of room but it works absolutely great.2 particular features that make this great:1 - you set a specific humidity you want it at and it'll automatically keep it with in range, i.e. I set it for 40 and it keeps it within the range of 40-45.2- if power resets or it gets unplugged/replugged in it'll remember it's previous setting.My only complaint is that the water collector somewhat small. It's fine, but I'm lazy and don't want to empty it every week. It does have a hose attachment that can be used to auto dump the water down a drain but I don't have a drain in the room.Set up was easy enough that I didn't need to read the instructions.

Works very well. Haven't tried any settings other than 'continuous' with the 'turbo' on. Probably won't as I need it to continuously dry the air. The water bucket not difficult to pull out and empty, but is sometimes a pain to align properly when trying to put it back in.

We had a flood on our oak floors we borrowed one dehumidifier from The neighbors and we bought this one and had them both going at the same time. Our neighbors was twice as big bucket was twice as big and we had to empty it twice a day. This little thing has a little bucket and we emptied it once a week. Didn't work like the big ones did.. like I said read the label carefully before you buy make sure you get in your right size.. I'm selling this one at my garage sale

Our old 20 year old dehumidifier fan stopped working last week. Decided to pick up a well reviewed unit off here for our finished basement. Typically with our old unit we had the humidity control set at 40 percent and it would run for maybe 2 hours out of a day total. This new unit never seems to shut off even at 50 percent humidity. We let it sit for 24 hours and have had it running now for a few days. Hardly EVER shuts off.After a few days I decided to buy two hydrometers. Got them set up on either end of our basement. Both read very very close to each other. Currently BOTH read 43 percent humidity. The dehumidifier is set to 45 percent humidity so it shouldn't be running. The display on the dehumidifier reads 46 and goes up and down all the time.The square footage of our finished basement is roughly 200 ft. This dehumidifier is supposed to cover up to 1500. I'm not sure what the deal is but this unit CAN NOT maintain anything below 5o percent humidity. Without the humidifier running, tested for 12 hours, the humidity stayed right around 43 percent according to the hydrometers.Not impressed with this unit and until I can get a response from the seller on here or the manufacturer I do not recommend this unit.

not a big fan of the dehumidifier since it never turns off when its on auto for more than 30 seconds (like itll turn off then immediately turn back on with a different number on the sensor than it just turned off on) but the customer service is great!

Does an excellent job of dehumidifying my space.

Why does it not come with a hose? It's quieter than having a hose directly to the sump pump but the tank isn't light.

This keeps the humidity between 50 and 60 in my 200 Sq ft garage with a large portable swamp cooler running 24/7, back door open a foot or two, the exhaust vent needs to vented or pointed to the open door. I had it in the middle of the room at first and it didn't work well,, the warm vented air needs to be pointed towards the open back door

The unit is very nice with smart controls, low noise and virtually no vibration. I'm very happy with it so far. I connected the garden hose but I needs to use an elbow because the plug is in the back (?!). My previous units had the plug on the side. Also the intake is on the back so the unit has to be 8 from the wall. Exhaust is on the left. I'll update this after few weeks.

I have had different brands/types of dehumidifiers and this one outperforms them all. I bought it to dehumidify a 45 foot X 45 foot pole barn which contains my vehicles and many many tools (hand tools as well as large power tools like drill press, table saws, welding equipment, etc.). The building has a concrete floor (with a drain) and is insulated but rust and mold was constantly a problem before I bought this. It sets in the middle of the building and I have had it for a year now. Most of the time it is set to run constantly unless it is low humidity outside then I turn it off.Many times when I turn it off for a day or so and return to the building and turn it on, the display shows anywhere from mid 60's to mid 70's humidity. After it runs for 24 hours or so, the humidity level drops to mid 40's and I have had not a single problem with rust or mold. It runs flawlessly and discharges a considerable amount of water from the drain hose into the drain.I can't testify to the efficiency of it if it were set to maintain a specific humidity percentage where it has to constantly kick on and off, but boy in my pole barn and running constantly, it is a real tool saver.
