The vest is for my daughter (she cant regulate body temp) in the hot weather. I was a bit worried about the vest drenching her shirt and pants - but once your wring out the vest it is perfectly fine. Her shirt felt a bit damp to the touch if that much. i actually tested it out on myself for a little bit and plan on getting one for myself when i am out mowing the lawn or doing yard work. My daughter has been using it when she is on the playground and she doesn't even notice that she has it on - she stays cool and i am not worried about her overheating. It should be noted that these type of vests are not as effective in really humid conditions - they still work but not as well due to the moisture/humidity in the air.
