Really great book, is a great second to the Hiker bible of AWALL for the AT in matters of user friendly-ness. Tear out maps, great descriptions concerning water, campsites, weather, possible snow conditions, gear lists, trailheads, resupply towns, road crossings, and doesn't drag on about things you don't care about! HIKERS HIKE.

If you plan to spend any length of time on the Colorado trail, THIS is the guide for you. A little heavy to bring this big book along for a thru-hike/bike, but great for trip planning or getting info on each section for day hikes. Having said that, get the data book and/or phone app for when you're on the trail. Happy trails!
