Taylor hospice social workers are available to help individuals cope with the many challenges that accompany the terminal illness of a loved one. We remain on hand to provide emotional support and to assist the family in completing forms for insurance companies and financial institutions. In addition, our social workers can identify resources in the community that may provide further assistance, if needed. Our chaplain will work with the family's designated clergy person, if desired. In this way, the patient and family receive spiritual support consistent with the traditions of their chosen faith. Guidance and counseling services are available throughout the duration of the illness and bereavement services are offered to help ease the pain of loss following the death of a loved one. Hospice volunteers provide companionship and respite care. This may enable family members to run errands and attend to other personal matters.
