Mission: Founded in 1898, Connecticut Audubon Society protects Connecticut's birds, other wildlife, and their habitats through conservation, education, and advocacy. The Connecticut Audubon Society operates nature facilities in Fairfield, Milford, Hampton, Pomfret, Old Lyme, and Sherman, as well as an EcoTravel office in Essex. The Connecticut Audubon Society manages 21 wildlife sanctuaries around the state, preserves over 3,300 acres of open space in Connecticut and educates over 100,000 children and adults annually. (Less)
