Easy to use and understand proper ASL signing. It was recommended by my ASL teacher, Rochelle Barlow, and I see why. You do NOT have to be a child to appreciate this dictionary!

This is good not only for children but for adults learning ASL One word may have more than one sign and one sign may mean more than one thing and this book shows you about each. Really like this book. Hard cover and a large book.

Perfect condition and just what I was expecting! It has pictures to depict how to sign a word and the illustration is very precise and recommended from many ASL experts!

My order arrived right on time! The book itself is wonderful. It includes colorful pictures, clear hand signs, and a wide range of vocab. I find myself referencing this book all the time. I was worried initially that the words would be too 34;childish34; since it is the children's guide. However, it includes useful, diverse words helpful for any age.

After a year of continuing to check this book out from the library, we decided to get out own copy. Our family loves it and finds it very helpful. My 6 and 4 year old will ask 34;what's the sign for ___,34; and most times I don't know, so we open this book up and discover it together.

Not quite what I hoped. Trouble is, there are too many variations these days, from LifePrint on web to dictionaries to tutors. Since my daughter and grandkids are learning it faster than the rest of us, I defer to whatever they settle on, as they put the research into it. Learn your letters!--that helps so much.

As an interpreter myself (fluent in ASL English) and having grown up in a family of Hearing, Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Deaf-Blind people, I can say that this book gets my seal of approval. I give this routinely as a baby shower gift. WHY I LIKE IT: As a product of the world's only Deaf University their publishing affiliate, it is a trustworthy resource to find CORRECT and reliable sign vocabulary. It also comes with a free DVD of video showing EVERY sign that's within the book; considering the language is a visual one in which the drawings are not always sufficiently clear, such video is vital (and googling the word when you don't know the language could lead you to signing very incorrect things, thus the source reliability here is so key). Additionally, you're supporting Deaf people, their culture, their university by buying these materials versus someone who potentially learned second-hand, has no knowledge of Deaf Culture, may know very little about the roots of the language which sadly many 34;baby sign34; books for within this category. Best of luck and any further material by Gallaudet Press or Dawn Sign Press (an unrelated but equally reliable Deaf ASL only content publisher) would be highly recommended by me over others.

Fabulous book!!!!!!! Large, clear pictures of the signs, bright colors, and lots of info on grammar! Wish some the pictures of the words were a better match for the signs though...some match the sentences that contain the word (and not the sign) sometimes. Still a wonderful resource for children and adults!

Excellent book for my son who is learning sign language. He can look up signs very easily, despite having dyslexia, and has learned a great deal from using this book. It's not exhaustive, but it's very thorough.

For anyone who is a beginner interested in learning sign language this is the book. It is awesome. I am currently using it for an online periscope class. Oh and I forgot it comes with a CD. Worth every penny spent!

This is the best book I found after my son was diagnosed with profound to severe hearing loss. We are learning the signs along with him. When we need to look a word up, it is very easy to find. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to learn sign language.
