Mission: The Homeless Families Foundation educates and nurtures children while empowering families to achieve stable housing and self sufficiency.

Results: In 2019, The Homeless Families Foundation assisted nearly 1,300 children and over 500 families. 86% of the families assisted had positive outcomes. 96 children were enrolled in the HFF Dowd Education Center Afterschool and Summer Programs. 130 children and families were served by the SPARK (Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids) program.

Geographic areas served: Columbus, Ohio

Programs: Housing programs work directly with families, pregnant women and transitional age youth with children to help them move from homelessness to stable housing and assist in their efforts to overcome their challenges and become self-sufficient. The HFF Dowd Education Center provides STEM-focused academic programming for students in grades K-8 afterschool and during summer camp, both of which include hot, homemade meals. The HFF SPARK program provides a home visit based kindergarten readiness program that helps parents learn to be their child's first teacher.
