Mission: To take the best care of people of all identities who have been impacted by power-based personal violence and to measurably reduce the number of people who have been hurt by it.
Target demographics: Survivors of power-based personal violence such as partner and sexual violence, child abuse, and stalking.
Geographic areas served: Northern Kentucky and Buffalo Trace
Programs: The Ion Center For Violence Prevention (previously Women's Crisis Center) provides the only domestic violence shelters in the eight counties of Northern Kentucky and the five counties in the Buffalo Trace Area Development Districts. In addition, we offer a 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, counseling, and hospital and court advocacy for rape/sexual assault and domestic violence survivors. We also provide prevention education programming to children and adults in local schools, community groups, health fairs, and professional organizations.
