I read Dr. McKenzie‘s book long ago, after nearly rupturing a disk. The sports medicine surgeon suggested I did not need surgery, nor any other radical fix. Just needed to understand how to treat my back properly so that it would heal, and so that I could keep it strong. The McKenzie role was very much a part of that therapeutic healing. Almost 20 years later I purchased another one, purchased one from my wife, and for friend who has been suffering from very similar pain as mine was. By the way my back got better within a year and has been in great shape ever cents. I never experience much more than tiredness and usually due to inappropriately using my back. I highly recommend the role and secondarily the book. No one prompted me to make this recommendation. It is born directly from my personal great experience. A tool without knowledge about the subject is not likely to give you the best results. I keep a role in my car and one at my office desk chair.
