The product had an immediate impact on the way I sit in my office chair. It helped relieve the lower back strain that I had been experiencing.

This product was shipped quickly and received in excellent condition. I have used a McKenzie Lumbar roll for many years and this product replaces another one which wore out. I highly recommend a McKenzie lumbar roll for lower back support.

My husband suffers chronic low-back pain when he is driving for longer distances. He found it most helpful during his last trip to Wisconsin.

Over the years I have bought a number of lumbar supports, none worked for me. I find the McKenzie Super Roll works the best for me. I love it.

The McKenzie Lumbar Roll is now my constant companion: I take it with me in the car, to the movies, to restaurants, anywhere I'll be sitting for some time. I bought the McKenzie Roll when my back was in crisis, and it allowed me to sit without pain. Now that my back has improved, I use it for comfort and to ward off future problems. The McKenzie Roll's foam compresses to conform to and support your lower back perfectly, then returns to its original shape when no longer being used. Great product at a very reasonable price.

This lumbar roll offers great support and relief from back pain. Even though my back is better, I still continue to use it for support. I bought a second one so I could keep one in my car, too.

This works well with chairs that are not ergonoically designed and comes in two density types. I use two at different levels in my chair.

This simple device provided needed support for my back. The beautiful part of this device is that there is no maintenance and I can use it in my home, office and car.

I like the shape, that it has a flat side to go against the seat. I use it in my Jeep Wrangler and it relieves the strain and jarring on my back. I read the other reviews and decided to go with the firm one. I'm glad I did; very comfortable. So far I have been using it without the strap and just tuck it up where I need it.***After using it for several days still love it. I have to drive a rough gravel road for four miles every day and it can get pretty jarring. My Jeep seat doesn't have a lumbar support and this is just what I needed. It felt pretty firm at first but seems to be conforming to my back.***I got another one for my John Deere Gator. Really saves my back.

The seat in my car was causing terrible pain in my hip and leg. After a few thousand dollars in medical bills for appointments, an MRI and physical therapy, it was discovered that the seat in my 2009 subaru forester had such terrible lumbar support that the discs in my spine were pressing against my sciatic nerve.Strapping this lumbar support to my seat has completely cured my pain. I just wish it didn't take so much doctors visits to find a cure.

The lumbar roll was recommended by my physical therapy practitioner. I chose this one because it is the one they use. I am very pleased with it--quality construction. It is especially helpful in the car.

Quality piece that provides lower back support while seating. Use as instructed in McKenzie therapy recommendations to maintain correct posture while seated.

The problem with these rolls when a patient first tries them, is that you're shoving a big hunk of foam in the small of your back. Several things happen at this point...-some people's backs will be now be more comfortable when they sit-some people's backs will actually be more UNCOMFORTABLE when they sit-a few people will be indifferentSo how do you explain it? Well, as the title says, everybody's back is a little different. I've found one thing that explains things is the curve of your back. If you have a low back curve that is really exaggerated (increased lumbar lordosis), then these rolls usually feel good to those patients - the roll seems to support the curve. On the other hand, if one's low back curve is decreased, and they have a rather "straight" spine, then suddenly shoving a big roll behind their back is uncomfortable because it makes the spine go in a direction it's not used to normally going. I personally fit in this category myself.Another major factor is the particular back problem you have. People with that have a spondylolisthesis, the most common one being where the lumbar vertebrae is slipping forward, will likely not like this roll, because it's making the back curve in more - which can make the slipped vertebrae move more in the direction it's slipping. And of course the other back condition I've found that has a tendency to not like these rolls, are people with spinal stenosis. People with spinal stenosis often have smaller than normal holes where the nerves come out of the spine, and these rolls increase the curve of your spine which can make these holes even smaller. As for people with herniated discs, some like them, some don't.The lesson here? Well, you really don't have to be a spine specialist to figure out if this roll is for you - all you really have to do is try it and see - your back will let you know! And now you also have a little better idea why some of the reviewers here call it a "lifesaver" yet others call it "a waste" :)

The Original Mckenzie Lumbar Roll - Standard Firmness... one of these was given to me by my PT on my first visit to her... If your PT gives you one, that's a pretty good recommendation.I started using it in my office chair and then wanted to get one for my home office also. It helps keep your sitting posture optimal, which is important as sitting is hard on the lower back. I also take one of the 'super rolls' to plays and such where I'll be sitting for long periods on bad chairs.Compression... the thing does compress or squeeze down when you lean into it. It moldes into your lower back area and is about 1/2 to 1/3 of the size that it starts. However, that's good, because the lower back has a SLIGHT curve. Overdoing the curve by putting something hard and big behind your lower back is NOT good... can hurt you just as much as slumping.Over all I'm very pleased with this purchase... I've got one behind my lower back as I type this.

I love this pillow. I have one for each car and my sewing chair. I also take it when I travel or go out to dinner. Occasionally I leave them when traveling whence the need to order another one. It provides the extra support I need since having back surgery.

Until I experienced a bulging disk, I took my happy back for granted, and could bounce out of my car with no pain, only occasionally feeling stiff from sitting without real lumbar support. That changed abruptly and it was agony to climb from the driver's seat and straighten up enough to begin walking. Even now that the back has healed, I will never remove this lumbar roll from my car seat.

Using this product as I type on my office chair... works well, not too hard or two soft. Strap holds the unit on the chair, but you have to adjust it each time, which isn't a problem. Had an old back injury act up and this helps a lot. Let's me sit all day.
