This is a nice supportive half roll for my back. This is the 3rd one I've purchased. I use one in my home office, office at work and in my car. I can now drive for hours without pain in my back.

I use this Lumbar Roll as a portable lumbar support. Most chairs and sofas do not have sufficient lumbar support. This Roll works on all that I have tried it with. It forces the natural lordosis (curve in the lower back) thus making the aching back a thing of the past.

This lumbar support really helps my back while I'm working at the computer. It does a lot to help me maintain good posture and relieve lower back pain. The strap allows me to keep it in place and I even forget I have it on. Good quality for the money and it maintains its shape very well.

I have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine that's being very pesky. It might come down to surgery for me. The super roll was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I use it the most at home at the kitchen table or at my desk, in the car, at church, and in some restaurants. For reference, I am 31 years old and before my back injury, a fairly active person. This roll is most effective in the car, where I think a lot of seats are designed for slouching.Sometimes if the chair you're using is an odd shape, this will be hard to use. I've found the strap that it comes with to be hard to tighten easily and more trouble than it's worth. I pretty much just carry the pad around by itself. It won't solve your back pain, but it will make some uncomfortable situations better. It does force you into better posture. The instructions note that it might seem uncomfortable at first, but that you should stick with it. This is true! Don't give up or think you've been had if at first the positions are odd. It pretty much forces you into better posture and over time that posture will become more familiar and therefore comfortable. The velcro on the back of the pad is the scratchy side of velcro, so if you're using it without the strap, make sure you don't snag a nice chair. If the chair isn't too fancy and has a little cloth, this will help hold it in place a little if, like me, you aren't using the strap. Good luck!

This lumbar roll is a bit smaller than the one my therapist has, but it works just as effectively. I am very pleased with the lumbar roll.

Only one problem with this device--it slides down the chair backrest. If it had a strap that could go over the top of the chair back, it could be made to not slide all the way to the bottom. As it is, in some uses it is a bit of a nuisance.

I suffer from lower back pain and both my chiropractor and PT recommended that I use these rolls for my car and for the chair at my desk. I have to say that this has helped tremendously. The strap helps the roll stay in place. I have had mine for over 5 months now and it still works fine. The one in my car has been there for over 3 months and is still in good shape as well. Some reviewers have recommended using other objects, such as rolled up towels or sweats, in place of this lumbar roll. I have also used a towel, but I find that this roll stays in place much better and provides a uniform/consistent level of pressure along the roll. The downside is that after a few months of usage, the foam no longer feels as firm. It still works fine, but I can see that maybe another year down the road, I may need a replacement to give me the firmness that is helpful.I also have a blow-up version that I use on planes. That is also very helpful and makes medium to long flights (3+ hours) much more comfortable.

I ended up using a bread knife and cutting it almost into a 'D' roll. For me, it was too wide. But once you sit back, and compress its perfect. Foam is softer than the "firm" D Roll by the same maker. I like this one better.

This is a useful item in making up for the terrible ergonomics that exist in office chairs and vehicle seats. I instantly feel better when I'm seated for long periods of time, particularly as my job requires extensive travel all over the state. If you suffer from herniated lumbar discs as I do, it's definitely something you want to have close at hand.

My physical therapist recommended this as the best support. It was hard to get used to at first but now I love it. I use it on my office chair. It is firm to begin with but as you continue to use it,it squishes and forms to your back well.

Works great for long car trips. Much less neck, arm and lower back fatigue. Not too thick, contoured on the edges. Is easily moved or removed for different drivers.

I have several McKenzie Lumbar Rolls, both standard and firm. I keep them in the car, in the office, and at home. I have used them for many years, and have lost several in taxis and planes. They have been life-savers when I am having back problems, and they keep my back healthy when I am not having problems. I just ordered and received a new standard firmness roll, but it is by far the softest, least supportive of all the rolls I've bought. For me, at 178 lbs, it's almost useless in a chair or in the car. It squishes into almost nothing with the slightest pressure. It's even less firm than an older well worn standard firmness roll I have. Perhaps the formula changes occasionally, but if this is the new formula, then I would need a "medium" firmness in between the firm (too firm for many uses) and the standard. I have discovered one perfect use. When my lower back goes out, I often wear a roll to bed. It helps me move in bed, and roll out in the morning. For this use, I want a very soft small pillow or a more squishy roll. This latest roll works perfectly for this application. Given the current formulas, an older more worn out firm roll serves my own needs best. It would be nice to have something new in between standard and firm.

This lumbar roll provides great support and it's really convenient to move between chairs. However, as others have mentioned, it's quite narrow and may not be suitable for all people.

This item was a great value! I replaced my non-McKenzie lumbar roll with the McKenzie Super Lumbar Roll and I immediately noticed a difference. It provides superior support and has minimized my lower back pains. If you spend hours a day driving, this is a no-brainer!

Love this product. Use one in the car and in my office chair. I would highly recommend to anyone having to sit for long periods of time who feels even slight discomfort in the lower back. Alleviates pressure and helps you sit up straighter all day. A bit weird to get used to at first, but eventually it becomes second nature to adjust when you sit. cut off the strap its useless unless you want to look ridiculous strapping it to your body. too much up and down to warrant. One downside is that like all pillows they wear out. About every 7-8 months you can start to tell a difference in the consistency. Nevertheless, I continue to buy it. Better to spend [...] bucks once a year than other expensive remedies for an aching lower back.
