I have progressive degeneration of my spine that started with a back injury. I have found this McKenzie lumbar roll provides good firm support when I use it to support my back when I sit. It helps me sit correctly and avoid pain from a poor posture.

Regular density was perfect. Made a cover for it from scrap fabric for my computer chair. Really helps me sit better while working on my computer.

This roll is pretty firm, definitely not pillowy-soft. It's firm enough to provide good support for your lower back when sitting on an office chair, or any chair that doesn't provide good lumbar support. I have read Dr. McKenzie's book Treat your own back and purchased this roll to ensure I have good posture while sitting. It helps tremendously and makes sitting even for longer periods bearable. It ensures that you remain in a correct sitting position which is important to prevent reoccurrence of lower back pain.

I absolutely love the McKenzie Lumbar roll - I use it at work and it is strapped on to my chair. This helps me with alleviating back pain. My only regret is that I should have bought two.

I have now purchased 3 of these rolls, including one for my 87 year old father. He LOVES it. It makes driving much more comfortable. Also go for sitting on a sofa, or going to the movies or restaurant. It is just the right length for carrying around. (I had a prior one that was about 4 inches longer, and awkward to carry) And keeps its shape. Good density.
