I really like the comfort & support of the McKenzie Super Roll Lumbar Roll. The firmness is just right. The fabric is very nice. The one feature I don't like is the way it does, or doesn't, attach to some of the chairs/seats I need to use it with. As advertised, the straps are adjustable & removable, but I've had difficulty with securely attaching it to the driver's seat in my car & my chair at work. The straps don't seem to hold it in place. If I get up or lean forward too much, it slips. My job requires a lot of getting up & moving around an office. Repositioning the cushion got old really quickly. I don't use it as much as I would like.

This roll works best on really bad and uncomfortable chairs with flat backs. I found a good use for it on a cheap office chair; on another, more expensive and ergonomic chair the roll proved to be too large. So if you already have a semi-comfortable seating position with some lower back support, you might do better with lower density roll or some other back support product. On a side note, I have tried another product of the same brand called self-inflatable airback, and it proved to be really effective on a variety of chairs I use.

This is the BEST Lumbar Support that I have found. Prior to ordering it, I could not make a road trip comfortably at all. I just returned from a 5 hour trip with no problems. In fact, it was very comfortable. It stays in my car at all times.

It kept sliding down on the back of my office chair since the straps just get lose on its own. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

This is the first roll of any kind that I have used. I started using it on the chair I use while using the computer and then in the car for drives lasting an hour or more. I even took it to a Chicago White Sox baseball game. I am very satisfied with the product. Whenever using this, pain in my back either doesn't occur or immediately diminishes (depending on when I use it), and my awareness of my posture, and I think my posture itself, have started to improve since using this product.

Ordered this for the car as well as the "D" roll for my office. "D" roll works better in office chair as this one is just a bit too plump for fitting my back there, but this one is perfect for my (older) car seats. Allows me to drive with much less pain (have blown discs), and to ride as a passenger for a much longer time than I normally would be able to do. Would recommend having one of these in the car as an emergency supply for anyone who has back problems that need increased lordosis of the spine.

I have lower back pain and have just used regular pillows folded in half - this is much better than that! It feels good to feel the pressure on my lower back and I like the 'firm'. It is a bit too big to use in my car, but great for the couch or bed.

This product didn't fix all of my back problems, but along with chiro visits, stretching, and an inversion table, it's contributed to my therapy regime. This roundness of this product has held up well for the several weeks that I've been using it. The firmness is also good for me, not too firm.

After having sciatica pain bad enough to seek medical attention, a physical therapist suggested among other things, using a lumbar support in my chair. A co-worker recommended this one and it is fabulous. It is a good level of firmness, and the curved shape is very comfortable and supportive of my lower back.

At my doctor's suggestion, I purchased the McKenzie book and the McKenzie Lumbar Roll - Firm Density. I used a rolled up towel until the McKenzie Roll arrived. I tried my one hour commute to work with and without the McKenzie Roll. Conclusion: The McKenzie Roll is dramatically effective for me; I would even say amazing. A rolled up towel of the same size is too firm, particularly in my vehicle seat. After experimenting, I now do not strap the roll to the seatback; it is easier to just position the roll after sitting in the seat as instructed. It is important to "roll" the roll into the correct spot on your back; too high or too low greatly reduces the effectiveness. It does take some getting used to, but it is well worth the effort. I now find I forget it is there after ten minutes or so. I started to cut off the strap, but then I found it is handy for attaching the roll to the outside of my computer bag to take on the airplane. I also tried the D-shaped roll, but I like the round one better; it is easier to roll into just the right position. I think the McKenzie exercises are also important. They are easy and don't take much time; however, I think they must be performed exactly as instructed in the book to be effective.

15.5" long x 6" wide x 2.5" deep, not 8 x 8 x 4 as described. Good comfortable support for some locations. Not deep enough for others. Depends on where you plan to use it.

This item was a great value! I replaced my non-McKenzie lumbar roll with the McKenzie Super Lumbar Roll and I immediately noticed a difference. It provides superior support and has minimized my lower back pains. If you spend hours a day driving, this is a no-brainer!

Took a little long to come but at Christmas was OK & they let me know. As always, you get what you pay for & this was well worth it.

I have moderately severe osteoarthritis and I am about 6ft8 (~203 cm) tall. Needless to say I have problems with back support not lining up with my back in chairs and in the vehicle. As I don't have much space between me and the steering wheel, I bought this slim version back support to help, was using a rolled up pillow before. The full version definitely would be too large and bulky. This works (and of course looks) great! It is firm, but still responsive to pressure. I took off the strap that came with it and just use the Velcro to stick to the back of the seat as I usually move it around (because of space constraints in the vehicle, not because the product is uncomfortable).I might also use this or purchase another for the office chair or just to lie on in bed!

Though I'm fairly young (33), I have found myself plagued with black problems for the past year. I discovered via an MRI I have a torn disk. To help my recovery, I had to stop slouching while sitting. This support roll is the only thing that keeps me from doing so. It's not as thick as the full support roll, which was too thick for me. I think you're either going to love this or hate it depending on your back and the support you need. If you don't require a large roll but some minor support to remind you to sit up strait I would suggest using this. Though remember, you can't return it so I would test your support needs by using a rolled up towel first. Varying the thickness of the towel until you find the right support for you, then comparing the dimensions that work best for you with what is available on the market.

Love this product. Use one in the car and in my office chair. I would highly recommend to anyone having to sit for long periods of time who feels even slight discomfort in the lower back. Alleviates pressure and helps you sit up straighter all day. A bit weird to get used to at first, but eventually it becomes second nature to adjust when you sit. cut off the strap its useless unless you want to look ridiculous strapping it to your body. too much up and down to warrant. One downside is that like all pillows they wear out. About every 7-8 months you can start to tell a difference in the consistency. Nevertheless, I continue to buy it. Better to spend [...] bucks once a year than other expensive remedies for an aching lower back.

I had a similar back support gotten from my physical therapist. Used it for years but lost it. Spent many fruitless hours trying to find a substitute. This product is actually BETTER than the original.
