This roll works best on really bad and uncomfortable chairs with flat backs. I found a good use for it on a cheap office chair; on another, more expensive and ergonomic chair the roll proved to be too large. So if you already have a semi-comfortable seating position with some lower back support, you might do better with lower density roll or some other back support product. On a side note, I have tried another product of the same brand called self-inflatable airback, and it proved to be really effective on a variety of chairs I use.

Ordered this for the car as well as the "D" roll for my office. "D" roll works better in office chair as this one is just a bit too plump for fitting my back there, but this one is perfect for my (older) car seats. Allows me to drive with much less pain (have blown discs), and to ride as a passenger for a much longer time than I normally would be able to do. Would recommend having one of these in the car as an emergency supply for anyone who has back problems that need increased lordosis of the spine.

I have lower back pain and have just used regular pillows folded in half - this is much better than that! It feels good to feel the pressure on my lower back and I like the 'firm'. It is a bit too big to use in my car, but great for the couch or bed.

This product didn't fix all of my back problems, but along with chiro visits, stretching, and an inversion table, it's contributed to my therapy regime.This roundness of this product has held up well for the several weeks that I've been using it. The firmness is also good for me, not too firm.

This item was a great value! I replaced my non-McKenzie lumbar roll with the McKenzie Super Lumbar Roll and I immediately noticed a difference. It provides superior support and has minimized my lower back pains. If you spend hours a day driving, this is a no-brainer!

Love this product. Use one in the car and in my office chair. I would highly recommend to anyone having to sit for long periods of time who feels even slight discomfort in the lower back. Alleviates pressure and helps you sit up straighter all day. A bit weird to get used to at first, but eventually it becomes second nature to adjust when you sit. cut off the strap its useless unless you want to look ridiculous strapping it to your body. too much up and down to warrant. One downside is that like all pillows they wear out. About every 7-8 months you can start to tell a difference in the consistency. Nevertheless, I continue to buy it. Better to spend [...] bucks once a year than other expensive remedies for an aching lower back.

I like the style of the lumbar roll and find that it's incredibly easy to use on most chair types. I actually think that the density is more firm than I'd like, but I also don't use it every day all day so I haven't noticed a change in its firmness so far.

I use one for long trips and at the computer. It provides significant reduction of my mid-back pain, both relief and prevention.

This works well. I have been using this for about a month now. I have also been doing some back exercises as well, but my back is feeling better. The strap needs to be pretty tight otherwise you have to adjust it every time you sit down. You will still need to sit properly for this to work, but when you do sit properly it does feel much better. If you slouch though then this won't make a difference.

I use this in my car. It does its job. It does push you a little forward in your seat so if you already adjust your seat all the way back you will lose some space.

I use this product in a completely different way: length-wise along the spine for heavenly relief. Place the roll on the floor or a firm mattress and align your spine along the roll. Better than a professional massage. I take a 15 minute rest twice a day and hate to get up ! Your shoulder blades fall to each side in a perfect alignment. Try it, you'll like it. I am searching for 16-18" which would be even more effective.

I have been having lower back pain due to extended sitting during the day and my physical therapist recommended getting a lumbar roll in addition to doing my stretches and exercises. I wasn't sure which one to get, but this one fit the size dimensions she had recommended. When I first started using the Mckenzie Lumbar Roll I found myself fighting with it because it was extremely firm. I also found it difficult to use on the metro because of the train jerks around so much. However, my physical therapist checked it out and said it was a really good lumbar roll and since then I have found it to be very helpful for my back. I used on a plane trip to and from Chicago and during a week long conference and didn't experience my usual aches. As long as you are willing to work through the initial difficulties of getting used to it, I think this is a very worthwhile product to complement stretches and exercises for lower back pain.

I ordered three lumbar rolls. I received only one. Called the company and they immediatley responded by sending two more which I received in two to three days. Hey, everyone makes honest mistakes, the important thing is they corrected it immediatley. The product is great and really helps with back pain.
