This is a great lumbar support, and has taken me about a month to get used to it. I'm not used to lumbar support. But the good news is after using this for a month, my lower back and my neck strain seem to be getting better.

This is a nice supportive half roll for my back. This is the 3rd one I've purchased. I use one in my home office, office at work and in my car. I can now drive for hours without pain in my back.

I use this Lumbar Roll as a portable lumbar support. Most chairs and sofas do not have sufficient lumbar support. This Roll works on all that I have tried it with. It forces the natural lordosis (curve in the lower back) thus making the aching back a thing of the past.

I have a herniated disc in my lumbar spine that's being very pesky. It might come down to surgery for me. The super roll was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I use it the most at home at the kitchen table or at my desk, in the car, at church, and in some restaurants. For reference, I am 31 years old and before my back injury, a fairly active person. This roll is most effective in the car, where I think a lot of seats are designed for slouching.Sometimes if the chair you're using is an odd shape, this will be hard to use. I've found the strap that it comes with to be hard to tighten easily and more trouble than it's worth. I pretty much just carry the pad around by itself. It won't solve your back pain, but it will make some uncomfortable situations better. It does force you into better posture. The instructions note that it might seem uncomfortable at first, but that you should stick with it. This is true! Don't give up or think you've been had if at first the positions are odd. It pretty much forces you into better posture and over time that posture will become more familiar and therefore comfortable. The velcro on the back of the pad is the scratchy side of velcro, so if you're using it without the strap, make sure you don't snag a nice chair. If the chair isn't too fancy and has a little cloth, this will help hold it in place a little if, like me, you aren't using the strap. Good luck!

Over the years I have bought a number of lumbar supports, none worked for me. I find the McKenzie Super Roll works the best for me. I love it.

The original Mckenzie lumbar roll (FIRM) does its job well. I use one when driving and use another in my computer chair. I like the fact that it is firm and holds its shape after repeated use.

This product is designed to assist in one's posture, either because of a spinal problem or simply in the interest of good posture. It does the job. I use it in the car and find it very helpful.

I like the shape, that it has a flat side to go against the seat. I use it in my Jeep Wrangler and it relieves the strain and jarring on my back. I read the other reviews and decided to go with the firm one. I'm glad I did; very comfortable. So far I have been using it without the strap and just tuck it up where I need it.***After using it for several days still love it. I have to drive a rough gravel road for four miles every day and it can get pretty jarring. My Jeep seat doesn't have a lumbar support and this is just what I needed. It felt pretty firm at first but seems to be conforming to my back.***I got another one for my John Deere Gator. Really saves my back.

I ordered this roll for neck support rather than lumbar support, but find it's not suitable for that purpose. Here's my situation. I like to sleep with a small roll type pillow for several reasons. I started using a rolled up bath towel and found it worked great to support my head and neck while preserving my hair style and not aggravating my skin which can break out with rosacea if I use a pillow that retains heat. I switch to a side sleeping position during the night often times and then the rolled up towel is not high enough to give me good neck support. I found a U shaped pillow at BB&B with a comfortable foam that I love in winter for back sleeping, but it doesn't work for side sleeping either, so I set out to find a foam roll that would work for neck support ideally from both back and side positions, but at least the side position. The pillow I like is not heat sensitive and firmer than most foam pillows, hence my thought to try the firm version of this pillow. Sadly, it is REALLY firm. It may be great for lumbar support, but is way too firm for laying your head against. I get hardly any depression in the foam from the weight of my head, so it feels rather like the upholstered arm of a chair instead of what I was hoping for. My search continues. If, like me, you are looking for foam neck support, I don't recommend this.

I have three bulging discs in my cervical spine and my neck is curving in the wrong direction. I also have very poor posture. This all causes awful headaches and neck pain for me. I am a professional and work in an office setting with horrible office chairs. My chiropractor recommended i get something for lumbar support so my shoulders settle back and my sternum is pushing forward (this he tells me is correct posture). I had previously used a pillow and also a mesh lumbar support chair attachment. Both still gave me pain. I bought this last week and used it at home for the weekend and now in the office. Using the firm lumbar roll works very well for me and gives me the support i need in the arch of my back. I would say this is definitley better than getting a D-shaped lumbar support attachment that may be too flat for people who need strong support.

*I don't understand why this lumbar support pillow is categorized as a toy but let's continue on nonetheless*I purchased this lumbar support pillow about 3 weeks ago. I work in education and sit in very hard (student) chairs from 7:30am to 3:45pm. Needless to say that by the end of the day, my back is completely out of commission. To make matters worse, I was recently diagnosed by my Orthopedic with Degenerative Disc Disease or simply Black Disc Disease which means in the shortest amount of words as possible....MY BACK HUUURTS...always...all day, every day. I had to do or find something that would give my back some sort of relief while sitting in these horrid chairs all day long. This pillow fit the bill perfectly. It is FIRM density(as it says in the title of the product)...which for me is exactly what I needed and wanted, nice and firm so that it wouldn't fold over or flatten out whenever I used it to support my lower back. I bring it with me every day, class to class. It has a strap that hugs the back rest to keep it in place which is something I find very useful. It has definitely improved my back pain. I've noticed that when I sit for 1 or 2 hours in the same chair helping students, when I get up I'm not limping around for a few minutes trying to acclimate myself to the standing position. Instead, I get up and go. That alone tells me that it is working and I'm grateful to have it. I definitely recommend.

After a back surgery, I purchased both standard firmness and firm density to try them out. I've used them on my work chair and a couch at home. Standard firmness one gets flattened after using it for few minutes and no longer gives any support on lower back. Firmness density one stays its shape no matter how long I use it and gives a good support. I hope that both have better straps so they won't move. Overall, the firm density one gives a good support and helps my spine align properly.

Quality piece that provides lower back support while seating. Use as instructed in McKenzie therapy recommendations to maintain correct posture while seated.

This is the greatest back pillow. I also bought my wife a pillow. Hers was softer than firm. I also bought Dr. Mckenzie's book. My spine doctor wanted me to have more physical therapy but insurance would not allow any more therapy. Back to the pillow, it has been a life saver and I use all the time when sitting at home or driving. It has given me great relief from my back pain. It is very firm but you get used to it and need it if you are a normal sized male.

This item was everything I expected it to be! This is the second one I purchased: one for me and one for my daughter, who always uses mine when she comes to my house! Gives great support to the lower back, while helping to sit up straighter. No more back pain or fatigue. I take it everywhere.

This is a useful item in making up for the terrible ergonomics that exist in office chairs and vehicle seats. I instantly feel better when I'm seated for long periods of time, particularly as my job requires extensive travel all over the state. If you suffer from herniated lumbar discs as I do, it's definitely something you want to have close at hand.

I read reviews that the standard firmness is not firm enough, and that the firm pillow is too firm, so I decided to try the firm support. It definitely needs getting used to...I've been sitting with it for a few days now, and I'm still having trouble fully sitting back in my chair. I've adjusted it to a number of different positions and although it offers support, it feels like I'm slouching in my chair because I can't sit all the way back without being really uncomfortable (for me, the pillow is a little too large. But I think this is a pretty standard size for a lumbar pillow). It does, however, offer support for slouchers. I tend to lean forward in my chair from time to time, and with the back support there it gives me a little extra to lean against.
