I noticed some reviews complaining about fitting the cover over this long, narrow tube. Well, it's open at one end now, so it's simple to pull it through. It happens to be what I need for my back so I'm totally pleased with it.

Because it stays firmly in place, it helps make sure I am mindful of keeping that space in my spine at night. So far it has not changed my pain in any noticeable way. Sometimes I slide it down slightly from my waist to see if it would better protect the area with a bulging disk and that helps a little.

My physiotherapist and doctor ordered me to purchase this after suffering with EXCRUCIATING agony for months. The first night was really uncomfortable and strange but I wanted to persevere because quite honestly, I was desperate for relief. Several weeks later, there is absolutely no way I would even attempt to go to sleep without it. I wake up every morning feeling well rested and my recovery is in part due to this.

I actually sleep well with it around my waist. Helps my lower back by keeping the disks in the right place. Takes a little getting used to as far a rolling around but like I said, I sleep well with it.

I am a side sleeper and usually have shoulder and neck pain as well as hip pain from sleeping. I tried this roll last night and this was the first time i woke up without pain. Definitely takes some getting used to having the roll against those areas. I am definitely aware of it but it's not uncomfortable

For me, the night roll is the difference between a morning where I feel the best my body can or if I struggle to walk.I have an L4-L5 fusion and I need arch support in my low back when I sleep to maintain proper posture even while lying down. It fills in that low back gap so I don't wake up with pinched nerves to start my day. What I do during the day can always change how well I feel, but this gives me the best shot at a good back day.My first bedroll (recommended to me by my physical therapist) finally started to break down after using it nightly for several years.

Would be more user friendly if the roll used velcro instead of having to tie the roll on yourself.

Yes it works for me. I have a lower sciatica pain at the L5 L4 area where it pinches my nerves with certain movements. I sleep on the floor with a 3 futon mat. My back loves firmness, sleeping on the floor has my back in alignment when sleeping. Problem is I am a side sleeper also when I'm on my side the roll helps with the side sleeping it helps me get a full nights rest along with my memory foam pillow cube for my neck when I side sleep also they all have there part to play for a relief during bed time. It took a couple of nights getting used to the roll. But I did get used to it as a side sleeper. I've had really amazing results using the roll, the Treat Your Own Back book also by McKenzie and ice. The exercises in the book are REALLY important in combination with the roll. This roll only works if you do them and ice every day or every other day. I'm one month in now and out of everything I've done this is the best. Goodbye steroid injections, goodbye gabapentin. Occasional Tylenol.

When it's in that special nook it's designed for, it eliminates all pain associated with lumbar alignment issues. It just doesn't always stay in that natural area all night. On those days that it stays perfectly, I awake pain-free. I have to be determined to implement a way to ensure it remains where it should all night long for best results.

I am suffering from some pretty bad sciatic pain right now. Sleeping has been hard. This isn't the most comfortable thing to sleep with, but I do think that when I roll onto my side or on my back while sleeping, this roll helps me keep a better posture so the pain when I wake up in the morning is less.

I have a herniated disc. L5, S1. It affects my sciatica nerve. My husband bought this for me to stop my constant moving at night, and to my complete surprise, it did. I can sleep on my side again with this pillow, I will definitely recommend it to anyone with sciatica pain.

Make sure you measure your waist, don't go by what your waist was ten years ago like I did. I bought the smaller one and it works great but would stay put better if it could wrap around a bit more.

I've used for years. With 35-inch waist I use a S/M size. It changes over time, getting flatterand longer. I've found it to be durable.
