Mission: The Wash Project parters with communities in Mali, West Africa to strengthen public health through providing clean water, locally made soap and training on the importance of hand washing. We also cooperate with the community to support social and economic well-being through capacity building and by supporting women's gardening cooperatives.
Target demographics: increase overall public health and opportunity with a focus on women and girls
Direct beneficiaries per year: 8,000 students, 1,000 community members with new access to clean water and thousands of participants in our events and programs.
Geographic areas served: Ouelessebougou, Mali
Programs: hand-washing programs, clean water sources, and capacity building through agriculture-based training.
