A nice clean piece of hot roll steel bar.I don't see how anyone would give this a poor rating when they buy it for a use it's not made for.It is not hardenable so it won't make knives. It is a structural steel or weld steel.People, educate yourself on what steels to use for a project, such a knife. Oil hardening tool steel is great for knives.
