Pretty solid, easy to use and lots of functions, haven't explored alot but no issues with the keep warm function like on some other models where it turns off or stops working after an hour or two.

This was definitely worth buying. Rice turns out great. Have not used steamer function yet. It does take a little longer to cook rice, thus the 4 star rating. Overall, very satisfied at this point and would recommend to others.

My son talked me into buying this by saying "it will change your life" mom. His wife is Asian and he said her whole extended family each own one of these. The rice comes out better than cooking on the stove, is easier, quicker and the "keep warm" setting keeps the rice fluffy for two days. We also steam vegetables in the top section at the same time. The rice is perfect every time and so now I have no pots to clean. Cleaning this is a breeze.s IT DID CHANGE MY LIFE!!!! Everyone who likes rice should own one of these.

I could taste the difference between this rice cooker and the one we owned previously. This Tiger rice cooker makes inexpensive rice fluffy and sweet! As others stated, the time and date were set by an internal battery, which could be an issue later on. I also wish their timer was not setting the actual starting time. But rather, "How many hours later from now to start the cooking."

I don't like using the steamer but I think thats just me so not docking points. Rice is great and I'm happy I got a very clean (used) option. It seems like everything was brand new but with a big discount. I've bought used(good or acceptable) cookware before that had food stains and residue. This item came seemingly brand new.

I saw this cooker in a thrift store...never used, possibly a gift someone did not want. 10.00 had the cooking tray cord and pot...best thing I bought... So much I would easily justify paying 170.00. Omlette are fluffy and perfect, I had to download the instructions but very simple. Very detailed about rice types and such. Recipes are amazing and abundant.

I was hesitant to purchase this rice cooker bc of the price. We've only had it 3 months but it's great. We eat rice 3/4 times a week. It makes great rice. The only downfall is the handle seems flimsy.

Opened mine up, received in great packaging to protect the item. Cookbook very helpful user guide. Great overall design, does not take up much counter space, stainless steel has a nice finish matches our kitchen well. Looking forward to many light healthy meal choices with our rice cooker. A friend that owns a Vietnamese restaurant mentioned this manufacturer specifically, he has Tiger cookers in his restaurant his home. Very happy with our purchase.

Wow! Much better than my old Tiger rice cooker. Didn't think there would be that much a difference in taste. Night and Day! Worth the extra money!

It cooks rice very well. The lid gasket cannot be removed for washing, but that is not a big problem.

We bought this to replace another 10-year old Tiger rice cooker (it still works but the pot was scratched). Excellent Japanese quality. Highly recommended.

Our old Zoji finally gave up the rice ghost after 15 years. Our family is much bigger now, so the Mrs wanted a 1.8L cooker (vs the 1L). This one is perfect. Cooks rice to perfection. Haven't tried any of the other functions, but I doubt we will be using them very often. In this price range (made in Japan, 10 cup size, etc)not sure you can do much better.Note: We bought a Used: Excellent conditioned one for significant savings, and you'd be hard pressed to see that it had been used at all. Great savings!

I've been eating from Japanese rice cookers since I lived there in the early 1990s. This is a classic, high quality model which is equivalent to anything that you'd buy in country. Highly recommended for anyone who really cares about rice: sticky, short grain rice. the good stuff. If on the other hand you're in to long grain rice, then this may just be a waste and not what you really need. For me though, it is perfect.
